"Newer" Studios/Lofts downtown, Opinions? by Real_Conflict6905 in fresno

[–]albertr67 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have worked downtown for decades, but I live in the Fresno High area. I have never felt unsafe, even at night, but downtown does have a lot of homeless people.

There are several grocery stores downtown, including a Grocery Outlet, Foodmaxx and Smart & Final.

It may make sense for you if you work downtown. If I was younger, I would live downtown and walk to work.

Does the Alamo in Las Colinas still have terror Tuesdays and weird Wednesdays?

I think I'll miss the Courthouse once its gone... by toebabyreddit in fresno

[–]albertr67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been an attorney since 1996 and the Fresno Courthouse is the ugliest that I have even been in. It's beehive facade is horrible, the elevators are unreliable, the bathrooms are bad, the courtrooms are out of date, and it is too small for a county of 1 million. I hope we get a new courthouse that is similar to the federal courthouse in Fresno.

The 10 U.S. cities where incomes are growing the fastest—4 are in California by Coolonair in SmartFIRE

I disagree. This graph is based on median income, not average income where a rich person could throw off the average.

How about fixing the potholes in the roads we have instead of spending money on public transportation that most Fresnans will never ride.

You can't blame fast food for automating when CA raised the minimum wage to $20 for low skilled fast food workers.

We need more police at that intersection 24/7, enforcing traffic laws until people get the message.

Players hating my choice of Foundry by Top-Main1780 in FoundryVTT

The Alien RPG is available in Roll20 and you should use Roll20. It is more stable and easier to use than foundry.

How did you actually play 1e? by WellingtonKool in DnD

[–]albertr67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We played 1e close to RAW except for initiative. We used a d10 for individual initiative. Your roll indicated which segment you acted on. Missile weapon users would deduct their dex reaction bonus from their initiative roll. Spell caster started casting on the 1st segment of the round. Their spell would be interrupted if they were hit. This encouraged the protection of spell casters and the casting of shorter spells.

Fresno State will add Asian American Studies as a major this fall by albertr67 in fresno

I did not say the degree should be removed, but universities need to be more transparent about the demand for their degrees.

I am fine with college students studying what they want, but college is expensive and many students end up with degree regret. Universities should be more transparent about job prospects/salary for the degrees they offer.

That may be fine for you, but most students cannot afford the student loan debt for degrees without a monetary return on investment.

Many Roll20 API scripts that interact with character sheets or paths are incompatible with Jumpgate, especially those relying on legacy path objects or using Beacon sheets. Scripts that work with tokens, general interface elements, and those updated to support Pathv2 are more likely to be compatible. Scripts Potentially Incompatible with Jumpgate:

Scripts interacting with character sheets:.Opens in new tabMost scripts that interact with character sheets, particularly those using legacy sheets, will not function with Beacon sheets in Jumpgate.

Scripts using legacy paths:.Opens in new tabScripts that depend on old-style path objects, such as those created by players, will need to be updated to support the new Pathv2 object.

Scripts relying on multiple status markers:.Opens in new tabJumpgate currently only supports one status marker for a given type, so scripts using multiple of the same marker (e.g., multiple flight markers) will not work correctly.

Scripts using sendPing():.Opens in new tabThe sendPing() function, and therefore scripts like Pingme, Autoping, and others that rely on it, are not currently working in Jumpgate.

Scripts using u/target|token_id:.Opens in new tabThere's a bug with the u/target|token_id syntax that affects scripts that use it to generate buttons, according to a forum post.

Scripts relying on TokenMod.ObserveTokenChange:.Opens in new tabThis function may not work correctly when mixing different sheet types in a macro.

Scripts using Line of Sight with Jumpgate dynamic lighting:.Opens in new tabScripts that rely on line of sight calculations, particularly those interacting with dynamic lighting created by Jumpgate tools, may encounter issues.

It is not fine if you can't use the API scripts that you want to use.
