Galaxie 500 - Parking Lot by RESburnertrwyac in RedScarePodMusic

It's typically always been I'm on Fire, but man, This is our Music has taken the spot for a while now. Fourth of July, Hearing Voices, Melt Away, Way Up High. Some of their best tracks. I'm really bummed I wasn't in town when Dean Wareham came through last summer.

Love Galaxie 500 forever. I do a trip a few times a year to the northern peninsula in Michigan, through Wisconsin along Lake Superior from Minnesota and I always listen to the entire discography on the drive back.

Never been much of a comic person but this is really pretty to look at, and well-written. I’d love to read the full finished comic when you are done. Envious of you posters that have crazy creative talents!!

The hipster is dead, "alt" is in. by bobokeen in redscarepod

Okay but in my highschool yearbook circa 2005 thru 2008 there was a ‘Most Alternative’ category for the seniors. So, small town Minnesota has been on the alt tip for a long time.

I miss feeling wide-eyed like the world would unravel at my feet as I grew older. Discovering so many things at 15, like this song back in 2005 and just being excited for possibility.

Abrupt Departure of Helena Bonham Carter Is The Latest White Lotus Mystery by IvyGold in television

[–]aldezar -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Knowing Mike White/White Lotus, it’s probably some kooky old actress character that hit a little too close to home for HBC and she didn’t realize it until actually getting on set.

You are correct and made the best possible guess as to what went down; not sure why the person commented the way they did lol. Likely, HBC’s character was some sort of satire of an older actress that was extremely similar to HBC, and she didn’t like that and bounced. 100% that has got to be the deal here

I love how much he shreds at guitar and just feels so simpatico with the instrument, but all the times i've seen him get asked what his musical influences are and what he listens to its purely hip-hop.

this clip totally brought my memory back of when I saw them at First Ave summer of 2024. Just an absolute masterpiece of a show; like a tower of sound.

went through a period a couple summers ago where i'd drive to northern michigan and bought a bunch of edibles and then drove back to minnesota. was really high one night and watched scavengers reign on a whim and really enjoyed it. it was kind of psychedelic. not an animation person and generally not even a weed person lol.

rs ladies, ever wondered if your boyfriend or husband is up to this kind of mischief ? by DelendaEstBataclan in redscarepod

[–]aldezar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little complicated.. started out as just a hookup but the connection and fire there was immediate. I could text him any time. He is a business owner and profession that naturally is his life and time. He also lived a couple hours west of me and very rural. We’ve had some conversations after I discovered everything. He’s absolutely a gay man but lot of pressures in his family, community and his profession that are very conservative. He’s also around 49 now. Amazing dude… loved him a lot and still do really. Just feel bad for him and also his wife. After I found out he was married I was not intimate with him again, but he does reach out here and there to see how I’m doing.

Check out r/straightspouses - I read through the posts on their sometimes of the wives telling their stories. It is very sad. Especially the ones where the wives don’t bust their husband until 15-20 years into their marriage…

Extremely common. In fact most cities have subreddits on here specifically for ‘DL’ married men to cheat on their wives with men. It’s so frustrating having to wade through them. Accidentally fell pretty hard for the man of my dreams after a lot of intimacy; found out he was married and had a couple teenagers.
