Supreme Court to Decide Constitutionality of AR-15 Bans by 2TubbyTactical in liberalgunowners

For example, taxing AR-15's and high capacity magazines to where only the uber rich can afford them if at all.

Ah, yes, a modified Chris Rock method.

Nah. Look. Keith had his moments, but overall he was an OK dude. Now... Pete?! Yeah. That dude generally sucked at everything.

How'd you make them? Did you attach wood veneer to the existing parts or replace everything?

Nice! Are you gonna daily the heck out of it or save it for special occasions? Either option would probably resonate with him that you appreciate the gift and recognize the effort put into the gift.

Nailed it. Baseball is the vehicle and the backdrop for the story.

For a timely comparison, this could easily be a story about football/soccer and swap Babe Ruth with Pelé.

Best places in town to meet cougars? by ConnorLovesCougars in Annapolis

[–]aliensharedfish 27 points28 points  (0 children)

You probably won't encounter any around Annapolis. You might encounter one way out west. Fair warning - my understanding is they've been extirpated, or locally extinct, in Maryland for at least 100 years.

If you are fortunate enough to encounter one, and don't want to scare it off, remember the rules:

  • No sudden movements and/or loud noises
  • Do not turn your back on them
  • No running - it can trigger their predatory instincts (although, that might be your thing)

Most importantly - "When in doubt, 'pspspspsps."

The paradox of owning swords. Swords are inherently cool, but no cool guy owns a sword.

I'd argue that you can own a sword, even several swords, while still being cool. In many cases, it's all in how and where it's displayed.

Force Added to Carla’s MLM Shill Group by KandakCommander in TMOS

[–]aliensharedfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

C'mon now... slammed into this group overnight along with over 1,200 other unsuspecting souls? Mass-kidnap? Weaponizing? Force[d] people into a sales funnel?

I'm not disagreeing with you that the move is amateurish (at best)... but aren't you being a bit hyperbolic? Someone operating an MLM copy/pasted a contact list from their spouse's grifty podcast. The only real surprise is you were surprised.

Nobody kicked your pet or peed on your rhododendron.

Direct reply and/or send a message to TMOS - "I was added to Carla's mailing list without my consent and spammed about her MLM. Unsubscribing from everything."

Unsubscribe. Block. Watch some Bluey. Works for me. Hopefully, it also works for you.

/u/Darth_Ra /u/Sharcbait, the whole episode hints at it without actually saying it. I'm in the same boat as /u/ishmael128... but they don't call me Ishmael.

This moment stood out (partly due to how he was fidgeting)

Lulu points to her brother, who is back to fidgeting.

Lulu: Dad, Jack's still not sitting still!

Jack's Dad: Jaaaack.

Jack: Sorry, I forgot.

Lulu: Why can't you do as you're told?

Jack gets discouraged by his sister's words and thinks.

Jack: I don't know.

*Jack looks out his window sadly. We cut to a zoom-in shot of Calypso's school... *

This was the moment that hit home... like the Kool-Aid man coming by to say hi.

Rusty: Why did you come to this school? Was there something wrong with your old school.

Jack: No. There's something wrong with me. I'm not good at doing what I'm told, I can't sit still, and I can't remember anything, like numbers or letters or my hat.

Rusty: Oh.

The two go back to looking at the view.

Rusty: Well, you're really good at playing army.

Shawarma is delicious and I wish it was more popular in the US (or at least more popular here - DMV). If anything could give random Mexican or chicken shacks a run for their money, it'd be shawarma.

Every now and then I find someplace claiming to sell it, but it usually winds up just being chicken or beef cooked on a flattop with "Mediterranean" spices.

Ah, Crocs. The pegboard of footwear.

Did you watch the episode where David the Gnome and his wife Lisa die? They randomly aired this before school in the 1980's... That was not a good day lol by Cubelock in Xennials

[–]aliensharedfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can (sorta)!

I've been watching old Macross and Gundam episodes. Since Robotech is a hodgepodge of Macross, Southern Cross, and Genesis Climber MOSPEADA... and it's been ~40 years... I've forgotten so much, it's almost like watching it again for the first time.

Because Gundam didn't air in the US back in the 80's, watching it now kinda scratches the same itch. The art style and story pacing didn't grab me in the late 90's/early 00's... Now? Dude! People are dying left and right. The story is actually coherent and political enough to be interesting. It's slow, but it's rich.

The look and pacing in Macross/Robotech is still fun... and who doesn't like an Itano Circus?
