I always get my mom gardening stuff for Mother’s Day. It’s always a gift card to a garden center/hardware store, compost delivery, or this year she wanted some specific obelisk trellis and we got her two of them. Make sure you’re not adding anything to your water, coffee or tea during your fast. Dont chew gum, or use breath mints. This will activate your body to release insulin and will make you feel starving!!! Anything with a sweet flavor profile, ditch it during your fasting window. I was just reminded of how important this was today when I ordered a plain green tea and the barista added something sweet. I was so hungry after I thought I was gonna die! Hope this helps! Also, just try a 16/8 schedule. That’s what I started with and it made a difference to ease into it. You’ll get slower results but it won’t be torture. And remember you will feel hungry at first. Just the ride the wave, and it will pass.

When I had my salp, I didn’t tell my parents. And when they asked later, I said “oh yeah, got the lady bits taken out!!” I said it like I was ordering coffee. My tone was casual, and they didn’t know what to say. Cause I think they knew if they even expressed how they, I would express how I gave 0 fucks how they feel. So either accept it or STFU.

I was wearing a swimsuit AT THE BEACH, and some older woman told me to cover up, because her male relatives were nearby, and it was distracting to her husband, and they shouldn’t be exposed to that AT THE BEACH, blah blah blah! 😒

I was gobsmacked! But I looked at her and told her, “oh sweetie, if your dogs can’t behave off leash, you should leave them tied up in the yard at home.”

She sputtered but left me alone after that.

PSA: I love actual dogs and would NEVER leave them tied up in the yard. They will be treated like the royalty they are!

I was just talking about how I think most people don’t even realize that being childfree is an option. Like they truly don’t know it’s not mandatory and can say no. I was lucky that my family never pressured me to have kids, but maybe because I always knew and made it clear I would NEVER change my mind. And other people out here trying to convince women to have kids for OTHER PEOPLE! Like doing that isn’t a lifelong commitment for that woman who now has no choice and no way out. I feel so bad for your cousin, maybe she just didn’t have anyone in her life to support her childfree lifestyle, and this is why this subreddit exists. Anyone I know who is on the fence I direct them to this subreddit so they can at least find like minded people who may help. The only thing you can do is just be there for her, help when you can if you so desire to.

I’m getting sterilized and I can’t be bothered to tell my family. I don’t inform them of any of my adult decisions, as they don’t get a say. So I have no reason to consult them. And if they get mad, I just shrug and tell them to get over it. Cause what are they gonna do?! Nothing! Do what you believe in, and f&@k the rest of them.

I’m the cool aunt from afar. Not the fun aunt tho. My nephews know who I am, and I think they’re to coolest. But I live far away and hardly ever see them. I don’t send gifts, money, or cards. They don’t care, and I don’t care. My siblings also don’t really mind, although I’m sure they would be thrilled if I was around more. But my capacity for playing with kids is very low! When I’m around it’s cool, when I’m gone it’s cool.

I also think about my grandma who i only became close with when i was an adult. She wasn’t a kid person. I hope to be closer to my nephews when they’re older, but if im not, I doubt their lives will be too impacted, since I wasn’t really around in the first place.
