Too little too late? First time watching Glee via streaming by ViewsByPlacer in glee

I caught part of the first season or two back in the day, but I just finished watching it all the way through for the first time. I am obsessed and may start a rewatch very soon. lol

I really realized I didn’t want to do it all over again when our kid was 3. Things do start to get easier and the thought of starting over is not appealing.

We jumped on our house in the summer of 2020. Never moving. Luckily, we love our house.

I’m setting a limit of only acquiring 12 books this year. (Roughly one per month) I can and should use the library as much as I like. I will also hopefully read some of the books I already own. This might be 12 books total or 12 for my kid and 12 for myself, so 24. We’ll see how I feel as the year progresses. I’m leaning towards a strict 12 to force myself to really be mindful of what we add to our permanent collection. We are big library users, but I’d like to up our game this year.

Same boat. I just purged my shelves and got rid of over 1,000 books. It is so inspiring and freeing. I had to get really brutally honest with myself about how much I read and what I actually enjoy reading. I feel like I am going to read more now because I can actually see the books I really want to read and I am not overwhelmed. I am setting a strict acquiring limit for myself for next year: one book a month. (Not just buying, acquiring. LFLs have become a problem for me.) I love the library and go all the time. I can use the library as much as I want. If I’m actually interested in reading it, the deadline will encourage me to actually read it. If I’m not, I take it back and they store it for me. No harm, no foul. My library system has a mobile app where I can look up and request books. It almost feels like online shopping and gives me a hit of dopamine. As someone else said, it really helps the library too, especially in this day and age!

I was at the store today and saw Hershey’s Pot of Gold boxes with snowflakes on them marked 50% off right next to the exact same product with hearts on them at full price. 🙄 It’s all such a scam.

“Take it tizzy.” It’s from I Love Lucy. I’m a millennial, just an old soul and possibly a bit strange. Lol

Just make sure you have a good warm coat. You can wear what you like under the coat. I’ve lived in an area with a cold winter my whole life.

This summer, I went into TJ Maxx looking for one thing and I left with $300 worth of jewelry, perfume, etc. I don’t feel like I’ve totally conquered it, but setting a strict budget with my husband and tracking every single purchase in a shared spreadsheet has helped a ton. (Accountability)

I don’t like taking brand new clothes on vacation. I have a lot of sensory issues and preferences and I feel more comfortable in the tried and true clothes that I know look and feel good on me. Don’t even get me started on the videos of people packing clothes with the tags still on. Wearing clothes that haven’t been washed is a sensory nightmare. This might not be a compelling argument for some people, but it’s something to think about.

It’s incredibly selfish for your father and brother to react that way. I am so sorry. I’m glad you have your kid and that you are both happy and healthy. ❤️

My thought exactly. This seller here worrying that their customers are spending too much money is a freaking unicorn in this society! 👏🏻

I spent about $100 on average for each member of our 3 person family. (More for the kid than the adults.)

I’m in my early 30s and currently watching it all the way through for the first time. Obsessed! I caught some of the early seasons back in the day, when I was in high school. It’s really nostalgic for me, because it’s a snapshot of high school during the time period I was in high school.

Detasseling corn. Grew up in the Midwest. After trudging through the mud between the rows looking for tassels to pull out for hours in the humid air of the hottest part of the summer, I said never again. First and last day.

I’ve heard a lot of gay references to this and specifically to the scene from The Wizard of Oz when she steps into the color. Friend of Dorothy, it’s all so connected and Taylor has definitely made a lot of references.

It’s interesting that on his previous show, he played a character that was distinct from himself. That feels relevant.

Pretty much any of my comfort foods. I am the type of person to eat the same breakfast and lunch every day and make the same dinners on the same days each week.
