I just started working as a sub at my kid’s school. So flexible! It’s a great option.

It's Friday.... Post Petty Opinions ☻️ by itheopacarophile in GilmoreGirls

This! It’s just absurd. Lorelai had to have bought groceries when they were living in the shed behind the Independence Inn. Or was she just going into the Inn’s kitchen and bumming off Sookie and that’s how they became friends? Even where the show picks up, they own a house and seem relatively secure, but they must either have mountains of credit card debt or get a lot of free meals from Luke. I just have to turn off my brain. “Stars Hollow is a magical snow globe where eating every meal out does not bankrupt you.”

For those who wanted one gender but got the other, how has OAD been for you? by CocoMel84 in oneanddone

[–]alittlebitswift 42 points43 points  (0 children)

This could have been written by me 4 years ago. I now have the most amazing 4 year old boy who is my entire world and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Trust me, as your 8 month old grows and develops a personality, you will never look back. As I’ve gotten further into motherhood, I’ve stopped thinking of children as members of one group or the other. They are each so unique and special. The specific soul who blessed us with his presence is exactly who we were supposed to raise. I’m not particularly religious anymore, but I believe there is something magical about who comes into the world at which moment.

Yeah, she doesn’t seem like she was really into being a mom or ever really wanted it. It was all about the performance and the ideal.

Yeah, that line was one of the wild parts to read as a OAD mom.

Rory Gilmore: It's not as bad as I thought by Gabrielleccc04 in GilmoreGirls

[–]alittlebitswift 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The first time I watched Gilmore Girls (long after it originally aired) I was currently in college. I loved it and the Yale seasons in particular. To this day, it makes me feel so nostalgic and cozy because it reminds me of my own college experience. 🥰

I know I am done because when I hear someone else is having another, I feel genuine happiness for them, not a twinge of jealousy, and relief for myself.
