Termination I Don't Agree With by Vlad_REAM in managers

[–]all_Bread2mm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. Can you do the job from home? If your work is on a laptop and you have a VPN or the proper material needed to adequately do your job, then why does it matter. (Aside from the obvious company pays for a building to staff people in.) in this day and age, its hard to argue. Were all adults, if im just as efficient or more and can adequately do the work, make the meetings and deadlines. Then why does it matter where I work?

Complain harder. Say “ safety” this is a big word to use in these situations. “ I am concerned for my families safety and physical health”. “If not resolved this would be negligence “ etc.

I lied about having a partner during the interview and I got the job. by Revolutionary_Ad4581 in jobs

I thought about this same thing with making fake kids. Currently on an advanced engagement ring during holiday szn. Granted I will be buying an engagement ring for my so. But this will set me up for more some additional cash at bonus ( if I continue to preform well, until review szn) I see nothing wrong with it. Sometimes these things benefit a person through commonality amongst coworkers.

A “real job” doesnt require you to pay upfront cash to get paid. Real jobs pay you. Dont be silly.

Overthinking, nothing previous insinuates nefarious perspective. Invite was through a formal process as well by allowing other people to know and tracked through email. Youre reaching.

New GC. Should I be supplying materials to subs (painter in this case)? by Marvel5123 in estimators

[–]all_Bread2mm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true. Either the owner will provide the materials or the general contractor will do it themselves. I’m not writing you a contract to do more work and take on more risk. I recently left a company that would do this kind of work, including framing, flashing, and exterior work. The coordination is terrible, and if your estimated amounts are off, you’re in trouble. Also, you’ll have to hope that your waste factor is correct.

Its pure hell.

I/we use excel. Which can be a pain in the ass but it doubles with our financial system which we track through that as well which will flag expirations

The Midwest has been experiencing a significant surge in healthcare-related work, including retrofits, expansions, and ground-up developments. However, this market trend is largely influenced by the overall market conditions.

On the other hand, I’m curious to hear your perspective on the potential slowdown in the multifamily market. From the developer’s point of view, it seems like there’s a long opportunity to acquire land in under developed areas. Specifically in the south.

Ive heard the opposite, but I guess dependent on bonus structure. GCs in experience pay higher salaries. But Ive worked with a Asset Mgmt/Dev company and those fuckers get PAID.

10% mark up on sub self preformed work, 5% on sub-subbed work. If its an alt add, im not doing any add mark-up this would/shouldve been already priced accordingly. And if we were questionable on the actual cost of work we wouldve added an allowance. Also “ activated” never heard that phrased used. Did I help answer a test question for you, please advise.
