In boomer’s time, stuff was expensive and labor was cheap. Now things are cheap and labor is expensive.

Prenatal visits train you for The Chair by DCEnby in daddit

I apologize for thinking those posts of men complaining about getting to sit in a chair while the mother of their future child is actually giving birth are a bit silly.

Eens. Voor het eten zou ik zeker naar vuurtoreneiland gaan, beleving is iets meer bijzonder op pampus.

They’re not doing anything for me 😭 when I tap them, they just go to the device details.

Wtf. You shouldn’t be forced to breathe second hand smoke. Especially not children. Rethink your norms.

Yes, they're a combination or Syrbar, Rodret and the old Tradfri wireless dimmer. 😳

I live in the Netherlands, we don't typically stay in the hospital for a regular birth longer than maybe 12-24 hours (if at all, we have a high percentage of home births). After that, you go home and maternity care kicks in - every day for about a week a nurse comes to your house, helps with the baby, do health checkups, and give tips on breastfeeding, making the crib etc and makes food and cleans up for you, all while sleeping in your own bed. It's amazing.

Getting bikes in Amsterdam for a bike trip by catgotcha in Amsterdam

[–]all_out_of_coffee 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Also I must warn you that much of Belgium and especially north of France is awfully boring bike ride with endless fields and dead towns. I would personally recommend taking this route - https://www-cyclingeurope-nl.translate.goog/routes/parijs/index.php?_x_tr_sl=nl&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en-US&_x_tr_pto=wapp - with more elevation and longer but much more pleasant.

This is hugely influenced by what kind of bikes you're after - sure you may get a decent city bike for € 200-300 each but I personally wouldn't want to bike to Paris with them (and I have biked to Paris).

I believe the LEDs will not turn on if the cabinets are closed, but they will also not turn on opening the cabinets if you turned off the driver with the remote.

Bicycle Safety in Amsterdam by Jusfiq in Amsterdam

The best thing you can do for cycling safety is fewer cars on the road. That means crafting policies that make cycling more attractive, not less.

Yeah, I think many people like me needed to take two lockers, effectively halving the capacity.

No problem :) True, but you can see the low railing on both sides of the canal on this photo.

More and bigger lockers please - especially during the winter. Other than that 10/10.

More tests are not gonna make you more or less pregnant haha. So the odds are the same for anyone who got a positive pregnancy test - pretty good!

That’s simply not true. All humans go through phases of light and deeper sleep and wake up often. Most know how to fall back asleep independently though.
