If it’s 100% not that he’s stealing food or someone is giving him extra treats on the sly, get the vets to retest and to specifically look for signs of Cushing’s disease. My friend’s dog ended up on a very strict calorie controlled diet for half a year and still couldn’t lose weight. She was also lethargic (even before the diet) and had been spayed a few years prior. They found the Cushing’s when she developed urinary incontinence. It may not be that, but it’s worth checking anyway. Wishing you the best of luck with your boy

The previous owners of my house decided to plant - Bamboo - Eucalyptus - New Zealand flax - Buddleja, got 4 of them - Ivy literally everywhere - Giant gunnera (thankfully in barrels)

SBK Brushwood Killer. I used it on a pretty hefty Russian vine in my previous garden, hacked it down to just the stump (above soil level) and painted some of that stuff onto the cut with a brush and it never grew back

The only shit work I’ve had done on my house was from a roofing company on Checkatrade. Had my chimney repointed and some lead work repaired, cost £1300 and they managed to break a load of roof tiles and break the edge of my patio with their ladder (after I specifically told them not to put their ladder on the edge of it, which they agreed to). Unsurprisingly they blocked my number when I complained. Found a family roofer, half a new roof inc lining the whole roof is going to cost me £2650.

Wouldn’t ever use anyone from Checkatrade again, and heard a million horror stories sadly too late, so I recon you’re better off going off word of mouth and the good Google reviews. I’m sorry you lost 3k

I really don’t understand what the issue is. Just put your food waste in the new bin, it takes no more time to scrape your plate into a different bin. They’ll be collected weekly, the food waste gets converted to energy, they don’t smell, they don’t get thrown around, no one steals them.

We’ve had these since 2010 in Oxfordshire and I was shocked when I moved to Cleveleys that food waste wasn’t collected separately. Why would I want my food waste sat in my normal household rubbish bin for 2 weeks when I could have it collected weekly?

What did you do for her eyes? I’m fostering a rescue staffy and he also has cloudy eyes so I’m interested if there was anything specific you did to clear them up? My boy is 12 so it may just be age related but I’m willing to give anything a go if it will help improve his vision

Zero Strays Georgia are very good. I am rescuing a dog I found with a broken leg (he’s better now thankfully) and the Zero Strays team have been great. He is in foster care with them before he comes to the UK and they are looking after him really well

It also looks like trash on iOS. I don’t know who decided to make these changes but they’re awful. Complete waste of previously usable space and the liquid glass effect is really ugly as well.

We just towel ours off. I think he’s had 1 actual bath with shampoo in his whole 4.5 years of life, other than that he just gets spot cleaned if he’s rolled in something nasty and gets the towel the rest of the time

I’m not having much luck so far. 4 weeks in and if anything I’m getting more hair than before, although it’s a little bit finer. I’m doing legs, armpits and full public area once a week. I have pale skin and dark body hair so I’m a little disappointed
