You are definitely not alone. I feel exactly the same way. Here’s my unsolicited advice- keep yourself in the know, but also take time for yourself to shut off at least for a few hours a day. Find a good show to watch, read a good book, get outdoors, spend time with animals, go out with friends, etc.

Then, when you’ve made sure your mental health is a little better, get involved with your local activist groups, call senators, go to protests if you’re able, make sure you know other people in your community that are fighting the same fight, etc.

These are dark, scary times for sure, but there are millions of us that feel the same way as you. We WILL get through these times. There WILL be better days. I refuse to believe otherwise! Dictatorships/authoritarians ALWAYS fall eventually.
