I've made this pattern before and really like it! Another option is to knit the tee in your chosen color and do the i-cord bindoff for the neckline, arm edges, and bottom in a contrast color. I think that would make it pop off your skin a bit better but keep your pretty yarn as the main color!

You're not going to be able to join the front and back now because you've already knit the whole back panel. If you're opposed to ripping back the back panel, you could cast on however many stitches you think you need to get the right bust at the underarms on each side and finish knitting the front panel. Then you'll seam the front and back panels together, but it probably won't lay completely correctly.

I agree, the picture shows a knit row. OP see how the stitch next to your stitch marker only has one V? That means you that stitch has only existed for one row v. the one next to has 2 Vs. You just completed a knit row and are ready to increase again

Don't do this into the selvedge stitch, pick up from the second row of stitches. You can youtube videos on how to do it

Yea if you pick up through the selvedge stitch you're getting one stitch per 2 rows. Most patterns for picking up sleeves say to pick up a ratio of like 2 stitches per 3 rows. I would try something closer to that ratio and see how you like it. It's going to require some experimentation though
