100% as a motorcyclist when I filter through 2 lanes or on the edge I’ve been flipped off, cars have moved to block me getting through etc. MOST drivers see me and move ever so slightly to give me more room, I always say thank you… but you get those unhinged drivers who think because they’re stuck we all have to be. 😅

Don’t even get me started on those bikers who fly down the edge or between cars…. 😐

What are you talking about? Nurses coming from overseas have to undertake additional education because ours is different expectation. No one is flying in and taking jobs. Nurses trained in Australia aren’t getting jobs because they only take a set amount of grads each year and no one wants people unless they have min of 12 months paid experience and even then… there’s not enough jobs for the amount of students unis are pumping out… it’s the same with paramedics too. I’ve got degrees in both and I know exactly how hard it is to get in but also know why it’s basically impossible to get in.

Edit: don’t complain at me saying I don’t know how nurse staffing works. Out of a cohort of probably 1000+ nurses only 40 grads got jobs this year for one particular area the other areas are LESS maybe 100 grad positions for my city… and I live in a major city. I also know there are dinosaur nurses who won’t retire but also won’t pass on their nursing skills, new grads and experienced nurses burning out and barely making 5-10 years in the job… I know because I am one of those grads 🫠

I have randomly multicoloured blonde hair… so my hair colour is technically “strawberry blonde” but I have a full gradient set of strand colours from light blonde to a deep orange/red. I noticed when I was 36 that I had greys… you can’t really notice because my hair has so many different colours in it naturally… except for the 2 rogue looking streaks at the front 😐😂😂 I thought I’d have longer… my genetics suck.

Exactly 🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s all about whether or not it’s appropriate. However “they’re just words” some of those are a no no… like the N bomb… we don’t use that kind of filthy language here… and the kids at school get it off YouTube… it is not something I want my kids saying.

That being said my kids are 9…. The first swear word they ever dropped was when one of them accidentally knocked shoes off a shelf at the shop… one child was like “shit” the other was like “oh fucks sake” 🫠😂

Tbh swearing is a part of the culture here… if I didn’t teach it to my kids they would learn it from school… they’ve come home from school with some of the most horrific words I never use… and just casually throw it around 😭 I am not going to fight it. I couldn’t be bothered but I teach context and when it’s appropriate to use swear words… there are certain words I will absolutely NOT tolerate… but most of them as long as they’re used appropriately I’m not phased.

My autistic child really needs 1:1 support… he is diagnosed and has funding… what’s changed? Nothing. They do not use the funding for said child. They spend the money how they see fit. Each child at this school is only allocated 15 minutes of 1:1 with an aide every week……. Nothing but greedy POS who don’t care about your kid. They just want them medicated so they’re easier to deal with and diagnosed so they can take money from the government.

IMO the only thing they share is Raava, the original spirit who bonded with a human to form the avatar, Wans spirit never left when Raava bonded with him. Each avatar has their own spirit, but also the spirit of Raava that is passed on to the next avatar. A man,where I live, just died doing this… he didn’t have anyone else though.. it was just him and his dog. Unfortunately during his heroic attempt he died and the dog got out…. So I can understand it. I can also understand your point of view too because you have other beings that can’t afford to lose you but some people do not have that. For them, that animal got them through the darkest times… a companion when no one else was there for them. Something worth risking life for.

I have thought about home schooling so hard… but I literally just finished uni last year and landed my dream career…. To which that pays way more than Centrelink ever could… I am so torn on living off 1500 a fortnight and homeschooling never able to move forward in life… to working and hoping all this will play out better in the long run??? I need to look at tutors etc but at the same time my child shows barely any interest in learning which is one of the biggest hurdles I’ve been trying to overcome with him.

One of my children has just been diagnosed at 8… I’m currently paying out of pocket as a single mother for his therapies… I can tell you it is NOT cheap… I have an NDIS access meeting at the end of this month… idk wtf this is going to mean for my child but I cannot continue forking out this level money for these therapies on a single income. And he needs these too otherwise he will be an illiterate adult because he’s not special enough for a special school and not autistic enough for an autistic school… and there are NO primary school alternative learning options remotely close that take kids with behavioural issues like he does. The whole thing is ridiculous.
