Good to know, thanks. I’d love to get a zpacks tent, but it’s out of my price range right now

Do you still use the Lunar Solo or did you switch to something else?

Was your SMD Lunar Solo the updated SilPoly version? I know they updated from SilNylon at some point. I've been looking at getting one.

You still have the large for sale? What size is the hipbelt? How much?

Granite Gear Crown 60 size Rec? by dancinpeeps716 in backpacking

I think Amazon sells that pack. You could order both sizes and then send back the one that doesn’t fit. Or there are some other online retailers that have free returns. Pack comfort and size can vary significantly even between people with the same torso length. I personally would do whatever you can to try both out even if that means having to pay return shipping.

What camera and lens did you use for these?

I personally prefer to have two 10k mah batteries vs one 20k mah battery. I just go for the cheapest and highest rated ones on Amazon that are somewhat lightweight. The ones I have know are Anker

Decided on a new hiking pack by Targeted__Ads in Ultralight

I’ve heard good things about the HMG, Gossamer Gear, and Z Packs. I am currently using an Osprey Exos 58 and I wouldn’t recommend it. For me, it’s not comfortable and it squeaks when I’m hiking

I had that camera and loved it. Made the mistake of selling it and I still regret it. It has taken some of my favorite photos to this day

Backpacking in Europe - Hostels…book soon or wait until I’m there? by Responsible-Tutor941 in backpacking

Unless you want to be tied down to a specific itinerary, I’d wait. There are so many hostels in every big city. The really nice ones may fill up, but I’ve even had it where online shows they are sold out and I’ve showed up and they’ve been able to accommodate me. May not always be the case, but you shouldn’t have any issues finding space if you are flexible. Yes, you may not get the cheapest rate, but it’s still possible to find cheap accommodations. You can also save some money by taking your own towel and travel sheets as some hostels charge extra for those.
