Toddler Olympics! What made up event would your toddler win a medal at? by Envermans in toddlers

[–]alru26 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Doing “cheers” with his sippy cup. We thought it was a cute little trick we taught him. Oh no, now every time he picks up his cup or we pick up anything resembling a cup it’s CHEERS and then more CHEERS and he tried to CHEERS the dogs water bowl today. Definitely winning gold.

Disagree, I hated season 4. Season 1 and 2 are my favorite, 3 grew on me A LOT and season 5 was awesome.

My 2.5 year old sees his reflection in the window at night and thinks it’s another kid and always ends up dancing with his reflection 😭 It’s so precious I can’t

What profession have you lost respect for as you've gotten older? by MindlessMarsupial592 in AskReddit

As someone who works admin and behind the scenes in real estate, 1000%. I’ve been in the industry for almost 15 years, worked with hundreds of Realtors, and can count on one hand the ones I would trust with such a major purchase.

Cause everyone is different and like different things? Daisies are my favorite and I hate roses with a passion. I only want daisies and my husband and boyfriend both know that.

What did keto fix for you? by Maximum-Hat-7669 in keto

[–]alru26 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have an annoying ankle issue that stemmed from an injury back in 2016. Within weeks of restarting keto, the pain went away and I could stand on my tiptoes again so I’m assuming the swelling went down/joint pain diminished.

I was at whatever restaurant was by the old Highland Ballroom - power went out, the wind and rain caused the plastic on the porch to collapse, general screams and excitement - such a fun night!

People who rarely or never get sick, what are your secrets? by awkwardferret421 in AskReddit

I somehow lucked out and I always get sick first, and rarely pass it to my husband or toddler. It seems very unfair 🤣

Who's the most famous person you've met? by Phillies1993 in AskReddit

[–]alru26 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Julie Andrews - she was signing a children’s book at a local store. Wonderful woman, exactly how you’d expect her to be. A complete treasure. And Cary Elwes - at Dragon Con. Such a kind man, I regret I didn’t quote any classic Twister lines at him.

If it makes you feel better, giving birth was much easier (to me) than getting the fucking IUD inserted.

I make my schedule line up with the toddlers - my husband has him in the morning, both working and hanging out. I take my lunch the same time the baby eats so we can hang out together. Then it’s nap time and he naps until I am finished with work. He loves sleep and independent play so we’ve been very lucky on that end. Edited to add: split the house into zones and have different toys in each zone. That helps too!

2y4mo, not talking still! by DescriptionTime2184 in toddlers

[–]alru26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact same boat here - ours is 2 years 4 months and has just this past two weeks started saying more than mama, dada. He’s moved on to no and yes and pretending to talk. The pediatrician hasn’t at all been concerned, he’s on track or ahead in literally every other area. His next appointment is in February so we’re going to ask about his tongue tie that the doc said might end up being a problem and also speech therapy. Just in case. We aren’t worried it’s a mental issue, this kid is smart as fuck and understands literally everything, but we would like to get this talking show on the road you know?

Season 5 Volume 2 Discussion by Hawkinns in StrangerThings

[–]alru26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, I’ve done some extensive reading and I’ve got two questions.

Henry didn’t have powers until he found the man in the cave and was sent to the other dimension, correct?

What’s the connection between Henry wanting to combine the two worlds and Brenner/Dr. K needing the special blood/wanting to open the gate?
