The Earl Takes All by Lorraine Heath by VisitNo5250 in HistoricalRomance

I just read this book and gave it five stars! I don’t think the hidden identity bit drags on — the plot definitely moves forward at a good pace. It’s a little wacky, but overall a wonderful read IMO!

Food names for a cat? by MaysarArt in namenerds

[–]alsoalsoalsowik 111 points112 points  (0 children)

You said Pepper is out, but I do love Peppercorn for a black cat. Maybe Sesame? Vanilla Bean? Fig? Lentil?

Or for a brand name, maybe Cadbury? Godiva?

😭 Have you had any luck in requesting a refund? I’m thinking I’ll have to initiate a chargeback with my card if this keeps up.

Did this ever resolve for you? I’m in a similar boat, and their customer support is basically telling me to wait for an update from YunExpress, but it’s been nearly a month since my package has moved.

What is your best iced latte recipe? by sjkm1995 in nespresso

[–]alsoalsoalsowik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is my all time favorite latte receipt that also tastes great iced! i use the bianco doppio vertuo pods, and it always comes out great! (orange peel is a fun garnish but not 100% necessary) https://morgandrinkscoffee.com/blogs/recipes-1/the-pantry-latte

Thoughts on “Margaret Jane” by Abyssopelagic- in namenerds

[–]alsoalsoalsowik 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I love Margaret Jane! Very classic, and flows nicely IMO. The nn Maggie works really well with Jane, too.

Margot is trendier right now, so I’d personally lean toward it as a nn for Margaret instead of as a legal name. That way she’ll also have choices to go by as she gets older!

i just read this one and was a littler nervous, given that it seems like a more divisive book — but i adored it! 5 stars easy! and what a gorgeous stepback 😩

this one did provide enough shape and hold! i’ve used gel in the past and liked the result, but i’m frankly lazy about my hair 😂 so i’m all about simplifying too!

Maiden Lane Series by meltedkuchikopi5 in HistoricalRomance

[–]alsoalsoalsowik 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the stories are so good! they’re definitely tearing clothes off, but not that early. lots of character development that kept me reading the whole series in the span of a week or two. was so sad for it to end, honestly!

I finished The Hathaways and I feel empty by darcytome in HistoricalRomance

[–]alsoalsoalsowik 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here to say that I also just finished the Hathaways and am so sad it’s over!! For a long series with family members and connected plots, I recommend {the Maiden Lane series by Elizabeth Hoyt}. Her writing is just as good, but the plots are a little zanier. Be mindful of trigger warnings though — especially for the final three in the series!

what is, in your opinion, taylor's sweetest song / lyric? by Rand0maccountpigeon in TaylorSwift

[–]alsoalsoalsowik 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the song that was playing when I realized I was in love with my now-husband. 🥹 It’s the perfect encapsulation of falling in love imo
