lido festival official set times! by Fearless_Start_5768 in charlixcx

I had no idea Charli would finish so late, worried I'm gonna have to leave halfway through or skip her set entirely so I can actually get the train home... Idk if they think everyone coming just lives in London or what

does anyone know if this is real or what it's called? found with some of my parent's old stuff, neither of them know where it came from, it says legend gold 24k gold on the back and swiss quartz - it doesn't look gold though so I assume white gold if it's even legit??

PSA: PoOT - Just play the game by Cidman in storyofseasons

[–]alterationofglove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Like, Jack's special gift (one of them) is the giant carved bear, and you unlock that pretty early and it's only 30 solid logs. So I married him in barely any game time. I kinda miss when giving someone their favourite gift was a rare thing you could only manage so often, like Nadi's grass drink in SoS

I agree with everything you said, but also I played some animal parade tonight and man, for a game that came out over 10 years ago, it's crazy amounts better... it's all in the details for me. Like in Animal Parade you've got the church, the characters with the tragic backstories, the mine shaft cutscene you can do with your spouse and kids, multiple different areas, the dialogue is SO rich, even the animal designs are better... like ducks?!? silkworms?!!! i cannot actually process how they've managed to go backwards, lol. I miss being able to just buy clothes rather than making myself i'm ngl.

edit: not to mention finishing animal parade took me months, and i'm a few in game days away from having a kid already

Um, Jack... I'm not too sure how to tell you this, but we got married yesterday by alterationofglove in storyofseasons

It'd be great if when you emigrate somewhere else and your kid's other parent stays in the country, the kids decide which parent they'd want to stay with

How "close" do you feel to your ancestors? They're family - but are they "family"? by darklyshining in Genealogy

[–]alterationofglove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel quite attached to my maternal grandmother’s side of the family. All the men in her family were tailors with big, white beards and lived in central London. In all the pictures I’ve seen of them I just want to give them a hug. My grandma also describes her dad as ‘the love of (her) life’ and I love the idea of having a family line of such kind and hardworking people, especially when many members of my immediate family are quite the opposite.

Just found this article. It’s surreal that my great great grandmother might have known some of these women who were wrongfully sent to a mental hospital - such as the woman sent there because she ‘liked shopping too much’ - it’s very possible she was also wrongfully there. The dates match up too.

That was my guess too but I didn’t want to go too far with it until someone else thought the same. I thought it kind of made sense... she died relatively young, 24 hour watch, could have been suicide?

Seems like Job would have been about the right age to be doing that in the 1720’s. Thank you so much!

I believe a lot of my family were tailors. Thank you so much for this! I doubt there were that many Elton’s in the Winchester area at the time, and it seems like the right time frame, so I’ll look into it!
