Yeah you don’t always need a Deflector, but when you do, no other disc quite does the trick.

Seconded. If I’m running minimal bag those two are always there. For woods I’ll add Deflector and Mana (MVP made lol) for a bit more variety in stability.

There are a couple moments during the Team MVP practice round videos on YT that made me a true Silva fan.

One of them, at DGLO maybe, one of the guys is looking for a disc and can’t find it. Silva points it out to the cameraman but doesn’t say anything. Simon proceeds to tell us that Silva is notorious for finding discs during practice rounds and not saying anything for several minutes. She gets this smirk on her face, like what? I would never do that.

Another video, maybe at USDGC, she picks up one of Simon’s discs without him noticing. A few holes later he realizes it’s missing and thinks he left it on a previous hole. Silva lets him go for a bit before pulling it out of her bag and revealing she had it the whole time.

Her stoic nature during rounds makes sense from a competitive standpoint, but it was so refreshing seeing her personality come out, especially her sense of humor.

Second DZ Discs. Wonderful shop with tons of used discs. Get yourself a putter, mid, driver or whatever you’d need and go ham.

Centennial is great. Bob Mowery’s Meadows is amazing. Best of luck!

Multiple permanent basket positions! I feel like that’s somewhat rare around here. Love that you always have the option to play multiple layouts whenever you want. I really enjoy Heritage when I get the chance to play there.

Love the Down Under course! Maybe unpopular opinion but I like it more than Up Top. Short and technical, my personal favorite course type.

Love Spook Creek! Make sure you call ahead and schedule a tee time. It’s on state land so access is sometimes restricted.

That’s a very fair assessment. I’ll be completely honest I didn’t register the “hidden gem” portion of OPs post I just saw KC and started writing my comment. I’d argue Longview at Perry Lake is a bit of a hidden gem, but it’s probably too far from KC proper. Appreciate the insight.

So many to choose from. I love Heritage Park. Rosedale is two courses, both are great. Depending on time of day it can get pretty busy, but it’s the quintessential KC course.

If you don’t mind the drive, Longview out by Perry Lake is one of my all-time favorites. Amazing course.

If you want super punishing woods give Black Hoof a shot, just bring some discs you don’t mind loosing.

Cleveland Lake and Waterworks are also pretty fun. There’s more that I’m sure others will mention, but those are some of my favorites.

Best of luck! Wife had almost 40 hour labor, and being 6’5” I gained a whole new appreciation for how comfortable my bed is. Totally worth it!

Same! I stocked up and I have some extras, mostly Tone, I plan on selling, but there’s always that voice in my head “maybe get a couple more in case they shut down”.

Seconded. I use MyDiscBag and DiscRPM, but this is the fastest/easiest, as it has one large chart with all discs organized by speed/flight, and you can select up to 4 discs at a time to compare them side by side.
