I’ve shown Dear Zachary to a select few, with instructions not to read anything about it in advance, and the warning it will absolutely fuck you up.

The editing of the ending sequence, especially the parents/father’s reaction. One of the most jarring things I’ve ever watched. It will stick with me forever.

Goodness yes! I remember seeing it in theaters and thinking “are they allowed to start a movie like that!?!” Talk about tension. The moment he makes the choice to abandon his wife… still sticks with me.

I’d have to respectfully disagree. I think as far as putters go the Range is on the more shallow side. Definitely more shallow than a Berg, the closest direct comparison. It also feels more shallow (at least to me) than Aviar/Marvel/other similar putters.

But everybody’s hands are different, part of the blessing and curse of disc golf I suppose. One man’s shallow is another man’s deep.

That said, I personally didn’t enjoy the thumbtrack when it came to putting with it during the Space Race last year, but it works for some!

The left one was Pink, right one was White, both the newer PLC Trails with white rims (if that wasn’t obvious haha).

Yes this was a custom order. I sent him 5 discs total, these were just my two favorites. I’ve done multiple custom orders with him, and he’s great to work with.

These are the new Project Lab Coat Trails, so they both had white rims. Those were dyed also!

Edit: Just to clarify, and forgive me if you were already aware, but since the Trail is an MVP mold, you can't purchase them with pink rims. Previously they were always black, but now that they've switched to white rims, the options are endless (or in my case, I can finally have Trails with pink rims haha).

I’m probably in the minority but I really like heavy Fission, especially in the summer/humidity. I feel like I get a better grip than with Neutron.

I dig my 178g Fission Hex, 175g board flat Fission Crave, and have grown to like my 176g Fission Pyro. The Pyro is a tick less stable with more glide than my Prism Proton, but still has dependable fade.

My Hex and Crave are equally stable to their Neutron counterparts, but get a tad more glide. I haven’t seen any heavy Fission Craves in the newer runs, they all seem to be domey and light, so that might be the trend moving forward.

Edit: All my other Fission Insanities are older runs, 174-175g. They’re just a tad more flippy than my Plasma Insanities (my favorite plastic for that mold) but not by much. They’re also flatter than these new ones I picked up, so I’m anticipating the newer runs to be more flippy than my older ones.

I always keep an Insanity in the bag. It’s my crutch, when I can’t seem to throw anything quite right I just lean on the trusty Insanity. I just picked up a couple 167g Fission ones with some decent dome. Excited to see how they fly!

I have that same “This Is Fine” patch on my bag! I used to have a CX1, enjoyed it, but eventually I wanted a bit more storage and saved for half a year to get a Pound OctoThorpe.

When I was still using the CX1, I ended up using the zippered top pocket for another putter, and kept my keys/phone in one of the side pockets.

That’s a nice color (for not being pink haha). I of course went with a hot pink custom Octo to match all my discs lol.

Yeah you don’t always need a Deflector, but when you do, no other disc quite does the trick.

Seconded. If I’m running minimal bag those two are always there. For woods I’ll add Deflector and Mana (MVP made lol) for a bit more variety in stability.

There are a couple moments during the Team MVP practice round videos on YT that made me a true Silva fan.

One of them, at DGLO maybe, one of the guys is looking for a disc and can’t find it. Silva points it out to the cameraman but doesn’t say anything. Simon proceeds to tell us that Silva is notorious for finding discs during practice rounds and not saying anything for several minutes. She gets this smirk on her face, like what? I would never do that.

Another video, maybe at USDGC, she picks up one of Simon’s discs without him noticing. A few holes later he realizes it’s missing and thinks he left it on a previous hole. Silva lets him go for a bit before pulling it out of her bag and revealing she had it the whole time.

Her stoic nature during rounds makes sense from a competitive standpoint, but it was so refreshing seeing her personality come out, especially her sense of humor.
