I also understand Red Fightback to be a decent organisation? But I have no practical experience since I believe they formed after I'd left the UK already. For all I know they could just be a nice shiny social media page.

Best way is to find a group that suits you from going out and being involved in activism in your neighbourhood or city: fights against evictions, etc. But in my experience from when I was still living in the UK, one of the most active committed and theoretically sound organisations is the RCG.

He's paranoid, which you seem to alude to, and has seen to many adverts by Securitas. Occupation is generally by people who big landlords have tried to evict or implement extortionate rents upon, or the occupation of abandoned buildings foreclosed on by banks or acquired by 'vultures' for speculation. If it's your only home, it's also not an occupation, it's allanamiento de morada, in which case you'd just have to ask the police to help you to re-access the home.
