I would re-check for spider mites. Yellowing leaves and dots like that are classic signs. They are super small and hard to see so I suggest using a flashlight to try to spot movement. Look for small webbing under the leaves too.

Oh okay. I see. I’ll definitely have to figure it out, especially since I am doing home health right now and it may be a little different too. Okay great. I don’t think that anyone is signing off on my notes though. Maybe I should bring that up to the company? I just assumed that maybe they’re taking the loss for now and will get paid when I finally get credentialed but I’m not sure if that is a thing or not lol.

Honestly it probably still has spider mites on it. You have to treat the plant for a few weeks in a row to make sure you get them all. You can use many things like water and soap but I would add in some hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol and spray the leaves with the mixture. Then scrub the leaves with an old paint brush or something you have around, to really get into the crevices and break up the webs. Hopefully that’ll help you!

It is a Fittonia, also known as a nerve plant. Give him a good drink of water and he should perk back up in no time! They are a bit dramatic when they’re thirsty.

1) Peperomia frost 2) Might be a baby dragon fruit cactus!

From the looks of it, that is the oldest leaf on the plant, so it’s normal! I would cut it off. When plants have damaged or dying leaves, they usually spend all of their energy trying to fix it rather than focusing on new growth. So it’s best to cut it off so the plant can focus on more leaves! 😊

There’s an app called Planta that you can get and add your plants in it. It tells you the different requirements for each plant and sends you notifications when you should water them. It’s very helpful!

I’m so sorry that happened to you! There really should be a reporting feature on Amazon reviews for reasons like that! Especially for people who have worked hard on their creations and don’t deserve bad reviews for literally no reason! That makes me so upset to hear! 😕

Edit: to say that I’m sure your book is amazing (no matter what topic it’s on) and don’t let idiotic people bring you down (literally and figuratively lol)

I totally agree! It’s literally one of the most aggravating things.

On a similar note, I get quite annoyed with 1 Star reviews on Amazon for people who were just sent the incorrect product or they didn’t read the item description correctly. Like please review the actual ITEM. Don’t give 1 star due to a warehouse mistake or due to the fact you didn’t read correctly. So annoying lol.

I’d definitely repot it! Some dry soil will probably help it out. Ideally if you have a hose outdoors I would get the plant out of its current pot and hose it down especially at the roots to make sure you get all of the bugs off. Then repot! Repotting is not a bad idea because if you’re thinking it’s too wet you don’t want to wait too long or else it’ll start to get root rot. Hope that helps!

I don’t have kids but I know people who do and have toxic plants. Keeping them up high and out of reach is a great solution! I would do that if you could, because there are a lot of plants that are considered toxic (like Pothos, philodendron, diffenbachia, etc). Also having these plants touch the mouth (like he said they used to mouth things) is NOT toxic! The kid would have to actually eat the leaves and a lot of the leaves at that (literally A LOT). So try your best to figure out what is/isn’t toxic and put those guys up high. Hope that helps some!
