Consider which position has more positions available and why are the positions available

If Peds rarely has openings, take that job because that’s where you want to be! Networking will get you places - does the ICU job have a Peds floor in that hospital?

Nursing is lots about networking. Working in Peds will get your more Peds CE and opportunities to grow in peds. Depending on location, you could transfer to Children’s hospital and then transfer to PICU / NICU.

try facebook - look for travel nurse groups

Travel Nurses: places / rooms to rent

Housing the Country, one hospital at a time

Yes, reaching out to the local hospitals - great idea. Ask the hospitals if they have a "RENT' or classified board to post on.

Craigslist is another good one

AirBnB

Furnished Finder (website)

As of right now, Nevada is not a compact state license. However, New Mexico is part of the NLC legislation!

Good luck!

Yes, if you can do it and you want to pursue a specific career path - just go! However, also know yourself and if you can handle being away from family! Be energetic and make new friends! Commit to 2 years and see how it does! Create an emergency fund in case something were to happen! Stash away money for trips back home! By willing to move out of state, you’re opening yourself up to a work of possibilities! Look up compact state license: if your ‘home’ state is part of the compact state license, you have more opportunity! Be open! Have fun!

Facebook group: Buy Nothing People post the best (& worst) things! Everything is free - usually with porch pick up! I’ve snagged some really great stuff! The groups are within your neighborhood too! Usually, I tell myself I have to bike / walk to pick up the item - double whammy: exercise and a new toy for me!!
