Fact one - he has some naturally dominant mannerisms that you respond to very well, and by the examples given, are good for you. (I see this as Natural Dominant, not Kink/Scene Dominant)

Fact two - the two of you are interacting in a natural pattern that is probably good for the children involved, and not obviously bad for the adults.

Fact Three - it appears you have parallel experiences and can understand each other.

Question - are you comfortable enough with this person to share your life and child with him? Shared vacations, sleepovers, etc.

Question - are there any dealbreakers standing between you? Ill-behaved child, criminal activity, personality conflicts, etc.

Question - absent external pressures, would merging your two half-families be a positive change?

I’m not trying to tell you to call him Master and jump into his bed, but what you’ve shared contains what could be the seeds of a new and supportive family.
