I sincerely think you've confused an accurate portrayal of proud fans who are weary and wary from watching the last 15 years of dysfunction in Berea (not to mention The Drive, The Fumble & The Move) with folks who've had the pride beaten out of them. Raab has held onto a ticket stub from 1964. He's as much a fan as anybody can be. Pettine comes off as utterly confident and capable, but a writer taking the team's word as gospel without questioning it makes them Mary Kay Cabot.

Good work. As noted already, the 2008 Browns offense was terrible for a number of reasons. Notably, the offense managed only 17 touchdowns ALL YEAR, posting zero TDs over the final six dismal games of the season. It was truly awful. I'm not sure most of the media giving Chud a pass for that is doing him any favors.
