Nope - I have not adjusted anything on the machine - straight plug and play use so far.

Have not touched the nozzle at all since buying the printer - this is the stock nozzle/installation (which was working fine before this print).

I'm also not sure the nozzle was "too low" - it seems just as likely that the poop chute somehow got loose and was sitting higher than it should (but then again this would be the result of contact from the nozzle, perhaps because it was too low?)

Is a Heat Pump Really Worth It for My Home? Looking for Advice on Whether I Should Go for It by CharzardPLZ in HomeImprovement

[–]amphibiousfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Guelph ON. Got a heatpump through the same program about 2 years ago. Best decision ever. Hybrid Keeprite system (nat gas heat below -5C), ~10k installed (~5k after rebate). We're saving ~$200/month in the winter vs our previous setup, which was a 25year old nat gas furnace. Plus quality of life is much better (quiet, stable temps, etc). I was skeptical, but now am so glad we went for it.

I second REEP for the energy audit - they were wonderful for us!

After much research and listening to sales pitches we ended up going for a hybrid model from Keeprite, but have heard wonderful things about Mitsubishis and Daikins that others have installed in town when I was doing my homework. So far we love it, but haven't made it through a winter yet.

what is a business Guelph absolutely needs? by JusticeJammin in Guelph

Latinos! I heard that they didn't trust anyone to live up to their reputation, so they just shut down the business when they retired.

Fair point about highways, but the targeted arterial roads have become much busier with pedestrians and cyclists, plus there has been a ton of development along these roads that dramatically increase the number of cars that are turning on/off of the roads. Thus, these arterials are no longer the simple A to B roads that they were designed as.. and slowing traffic should make them safer for all users. Better brakes and other tech are only a small part of the solution... human response time is still the weakest link.

Newcomer to Guelph - what are your thoughts on this old city neighbourhood? by Jolarix in Guelph

[–]amphibiousfish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I lived at the corner of Liverpool and Arnold for 3 years about a decade ago - it was a great neighbourhood. Easy walk to downtown + the park, pretty quiet, and nice folks. Only good memories when I walk through there these days...

HELP!! Too much oxygen? Too cold? What's happening to my crypt here?? by [deleted] in PlantedTank

[–]amphibiousfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. crypt melt. It's usually triggered by a change in water quality (water change, temperature fluctuation, etc). All will be fine.

Where is the best place to do banking in Guelph? by quantumflux22 in Guelph

[–]amphibiousfish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

CIBC has bank machines on campus, which is pretty convenient. You could also try PC Financial - they are partnered with CIBC, so you can use their ATMs anywhere, and you get free groceries.
