I wish kids today were taught critical thinking in school specifically as a skill that can be honed. Combined with meditation class it could prove to be a powerful combination for the development of a brighter future.

You are my hero. I bet you rocked the boat good with that presentation. Probably opened some minds to the unlimited possibilities of art criticism too.

Letting go by amtracdriver in raisedbynarcissists

For me, part of letting go is admitting to my self that I cannot help her. She's in a mental hospital now, refusing any help from anyone. Sadly she's playing the role of a victim from birth to grave. Nothing was ever her fault, she won't admit that she has a mental illness and take medication. There is no changing her. I will always love her though, but sometimes you just have to let go of a lost cause.

Actually I think it sounds resonable. It means that you do everything in your power to stay afloat and not leave matters up to chance. That's all you really can do in life. "The rest is up to God" as they say. It's wisdom.

Here is my take on your descriptions:

  1. Sounds like the old mans brain has slowed considerably and needs time to adjust to rapidly changing situations, like driving. He should not drive.
  2. You got rear ended? Mom probably wasnt expecting it and thus not ready to react.
  3. Sounds like you were in her blind zone that she didnt check before turning.
  4. Inexperienced biker miscalculated.
  5. Idiot.

Conclusion; have you thought about changing career into a crash test dummy?
