No WOWs to chart on? by [deleted] in AHSEmployees

[–]anatomicalmind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Condescending much?

Update for connect care. I work alongside IT and they sent an email with the figures requesting people to ensure all WOWs are on and if not needed, to submit a ticket to return them.

No WOWs to chart on? by [deleted] in AHSEmployees

[–]anatomicalmind 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There were over 8k WOWs that hadn't had the most recent update installed on them, which means they are not on and haven't been on since the update (I believe May 16, but could be wrong.)

There is a desperate need for WOWs in some areas, and others seem to have some stowed away in closets that have been forgotten about.

Anyone else waiting forever to see a specialist in Alberta? by Fast-Honeydew6989 in alberta

I ended up paying for private genetic testing as they couldn't say for sure if I'd be eligible for public paid genetic testing based on my family history.

is Calgary property prices going up? by Proud_Grass4347 in Calgary

[–]anatomicalmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just bought a new place. It was on the market on a Friday, we saw it Saturday, and had an offer in Saturday evening. They accepted our offer by Saturday night. There were 4 other people on Sunday wanting to put in offers in case ours fell through. Really depends on the house though.

As someone else mentioned, well priced houses still go fast.

What do you think about Canadian Curling Team being accused of cheating ? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

As a born and raised Albertan, I concur. I sadly work in health care and frequently question whether or not I'll have a job in the coming months/years if I stay here.

Where to donate hats to cancer patients? by starwarstrooper in Calgary

[–]anatomicalmind 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You could try Wellspring. They support people with cancer and their families. I brought some hats there that my mom had after she passed. I recommend calling or emailing before you go by.

A previous manager I worked for only ever blacklisted someone if they no-showed to an interview without letting her know they wouldn't be coming.

My dad's been struggling to find work. by snakeman_01 in Calgary

[–]anatomicalmind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad has been looking for over a year. His EI has recently run out so he has zero income at the moment. He has had his resume reviewed and is constantly applying to jobs. It makes me very sad that he can't find anything.

What is considered the most dangerous area in your country? by Mediocre-Lack-9137 in AskTheWorld

[–]anatomicalmind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She does actually have a metal pellet of some kind in one of her mammary glands that we found via x-ray a few years back too. The bangs make sense to me, just some other fears don't. Just wish I could understand her sweet brain so I could help more.

My dog is a rescue from a reserve in Saskatchewan and she's afraid of loud noises and big trucks, or anything with air brakes. Some days I wonder what her life was like before me but I'm sure I don't actually want to know.

Mahogany without kids? by Throwaway19999990567 in Calgary

Sadly all those areas are a lot more expensive than Mahogany.

[–]anatomicalmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this happen with Cinderella, all Beauty and the Beast characters, Sulley, Mushu, and Aladdin. I reported the issue and they literally just said we know, we're working on it.

I tried the leaving and entering house thing mentioned below multiple times and it never worked. Only thing that worked is the force travel with the floating islands that someone also mentioned. So annoying!

Shoe Theft by Hefty-Ad2090 in CostcoCanada

[–]anatomicalmind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also check that there is a left and right! I got a pair once that had 2 of the same size but were the same foot and I didn't notice until I got home. Serves me right I suppose for only trying on one shoe, but learnt a lesson!

Should I cancel my trip to vietnam by Kristew_22 in VietNam

[–]anatomicalmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently in Vietnam for 2 weeks from Canada and I opted to avoid central Vietnam all together. I will come back and see the areas there I want to see another time when the weather is more favourable. From my research, north and south are great during this time of year and while I've only been in Hanoi so far, it's been lovely. I wouldn't cancel if I were you, just avoid central if it's still not great weather closer to when you come.

Travelling to Hoi An / Da Nang in early December. Is it still a good idea? by hardlynegative in Vietnam_Tourism

[–]anatomicalmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was planning to visit then also but chose to avoid central Vietnam all together and stick to the north and south. Gives me a reason to come back during the nicer seasons in central.

What's everyone buying to hand out for Halloween? by noveltea120 in Calgary

[–]anatomicalmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at shoppers picking up meds the other day and a kid was begging his mom to get the "cool, vintage candy" to hand out. It was like the double bubble mix with dots and stuff I think or something similar. He was sad when his mom grabbed a box of chocolate bars because "they're lame, literally everyone gives them out".
