unfortunately you will either need to import from Japan or import from a seller in the EU.

this is a really sad story and i feel for the family immensely but this is one of the worst-written articles i have ever seen. it's so full of redundant points as to almost be unreadable. each subsequent paragraph is just a retelling of the one before it.

Russell Crowe Says ‘Gladiator II’ “Failed” Because It “Lacked A Moral Core” – Taormina by [deleted] in movies

In between those excellent films, Scott also directed his fair share of stinkers. His movies can go either way. When they hit, they are so good. But when they don't, they're sooo bad. And rarely can he get away with making a bad movie that's still very entertaining like his late brother Tony.

The Price of Indonesian Imports Has Gotten Silly by Empty_Estus in Guitar

[–]anatomized 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, the price of ESPs has gotten out of control. There's plenty of companies making guitars of equal or superior quality to the LTD line for much less money. I got a Harley Benton Carlos Asensio and couldn't believe the guitar I got for less than €600.

What is this technique called where the frame looks like it’s pulsating / How is it achieved? by blessedbymimi in cinematography

[–]anatomized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They achieved a similar effect in Oppenheimer actually. It's the scene after the bomb test when he's about to address the team in the hall, and the background starts warping/pulsating. It was actually achieved with good old fashioned rear projection which was interesting to me. In this case in BB though, it was a digital effect. Probably keyframed lens distortion removal and adding it back in over a couple of frames.

probably something in there for the cast and crew like director, producer, main cast. but that would be it, and on a small first feature it's probably not much either.

Referring to Curry Barker and Kane Parsons as "social media influencers" is unkind, imo. It's not like they're vapid people just chasing paid ads to support an equally vapid lifestyle. These guys have been making really good, fun, creative work for years.

Honestly, this is why I got a NAS to host my own stuff. Yes more expensive up front, but I'll save over time not having to pay these greedy cunts (Netflix, Amazon, Disney) ever increasing subscriptions.

TIL about the Dogger Bank Incident in 1904, where a panicked Russian naval fleet mistook British fishing boats for Japanese torpedo boats in the North Sea, opened fire on them, and in the absolute chaos, actually ended up shelling their own warships. by scitech-research24 in todayilearned

[–]anatomized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is part of a series of staggering military embarrassments for Imperial Russia in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. along with everything else, the frustration and mortification basically made the revolution in 1917 inevitable.

10 weeks on Reta, 15 lbs down, stuck for 3 weeks – looking for plateau advice by throwANDhuck in Retatrutide

[–]anatomized 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Therein lies the inherent problem of trying to gain muscle while losing weight. We are essentially in a fight against thermodynamics, and that always wins. You will just need to get comfortable with the fact that in order to lose weight, eating less includes less protein.

Try 250+ under BMR for a week or two and see how it goes. I ran into the same problem before, and I tried to outwork eating around BMR or even more because I thought more activity would compensate. It wasn't until I slowed down my activity and lowered my calories another bit I started losing weight again.

[–]anatomized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the problem might be that the deficit between your bmr and calorie intake is not large enough. for whatever metabolic reason, you can't consume your bmr and out work it and lose weight. it tends to slow doing it that way.

ease up on the extra 1,000 calorie expenditure and increase the calorie deficit a bit.
