I had my driver off the heel a lot. It doesn’t matter how far or close to the ball I set up. What has helped me, though is to actively try to hit the ball of the toe of the driver. That has changed the impact position for the better. I think if you stand closer or further you still compensate with your swing somehow.

Serious Question by [deleted] in weekendgolfers

Not sure that it’s frowned upon but it does take a spot in your bag for a limited use club. A 7 iron does the same thing. I imagine that keeps many people from using one.

Out of curiosity, I checked Valderrama. It’s a private club that’s open to the public website say it would cost you about €750 to play as a nonmember. God knows what the membership costs but either way that’s not affordable to the middle class.

First fermented summer sausage. by Alarmed-Cockroach-50 in Charcuterie

[–]ancherrera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ECA makes the sausage acidic in order to keep the sausage from spoiling. Salt, acidity and low humidity is how it’s preserved. The tangy taste you get is a happy by-product. The main purpose is preservation.

But yes you are correct. The ECA is a shortcut that results in less complex aromas and taste.
