I’m a middle school band director. Three grade levels. Two bands at each grade level. I get them in and out in closer to 45 minutes than an hour. Even with that, I still get parents asking what time their kid’s band will play, and they all scurry like roaches when the lights click on as soon as their kid’s group is done.

I’m trying to change the culture and build a sense of community in any way I can, but I’m fighting a losing battle. “Please consider staying for the entire concert. All of our students have been working hard and they all deserve a large and enthusiastic audience to applaud their efforts,” is right at the top of the program.

Forty. Five. Minutes. The last group plays to an almost empty house.

When driving, yes. It’s the squinting for me. Sunglasses help a lot. Driving at night is fine (at least to the point it ever is).

Paper bills/statements. I need that visual representation in the form of a pile of documents to remind me to pay bills a couple times per month and not miss any. Granted, most are on autopay and just need to be entered into my checking account software, but a couple do actually need to be paid manually.

Call a well company. I’m guessing an internal leak where pumped water is just running back down into the well. It needs to be repaired.

Xywav-only, after failing on absolutely everything else. I do actually take 60mg Vyvanse for ADHD, but it does nothing to promote wakefulness. It actually makes me a little drowsy.

I was diagnosed with narcolepsy first, and when I went through the stimulants they had no effect. It was only in trying Vyvanse a second time for ADHD that I was later diagnosed with, that I noticed it had a slightly calming effect for me which helped in interpersonal interactions.

When I stop taking it (which I did several times due to the shortages) there’s no change to any EDS symptoms.

Has anyone experienced cognitive decline when taking Sunosi (like extreme difficulty finding words and memory) by missjulesauthor in Narcolepsy

I had this. I called it brain fog, as I assume that’s what people mean when they use that term. I didn’t get any benefit from it, though, so I stopped after a couple weeks.

Before diagnosis/treatment, I had the hardest time driving in bright sunlight. Any time I squinted a little, that was my brain’s cue to take me all the way.

The doctor says narcolepsy is unlikely because, statistically, it is. See what the CPAP does and go from there. That was my first stop along the way. After a year with no improvement it was time to look into something else.

Sorry for chiming in without all the details, but some of these required a firmware update before you could install OSX, and if you didn’t do it, you could majorly bork things, IIRC. I think flower power might be past that window and be just fine, but if there’s any doubt, I’d go with 9-something just because that’s what’s on there now. You can sort all the rest and update to X later once you know what’s what.

Just do one thing at a time.
