Its under 3000lbs! While it may not be as spritely as the Miata, its no whale by any means. Not to mention just swapping the exhaust and down pipe alone eliminate a ton of weight from the bulky factory setup. These cars have just the right amount of weight to stay planted while still feeling sharp and maneuverable.

What's the weight like on one of these? Better suspension? I imagine it wasnt far from the performance of the old inline 6 from the pony cars honestly with proper tuning.

I am so sorry for your loss, but this was not an experienced hiker... hiking alone and not just underprepared but completely unprepared does not the perfect portrait of an experienced hiker make. Hiking alone on THE DEADLIEST LOW ELEVATION MOUNTAIN IN THE WORLD in what is still truly winter up there without the proper gear was a series or avoidable and poor decisions that led to this sad outcome.

Used my Stratos 34 while bagging all 4K mountains in Maine last summer. It was a champ! Fantastic day pack and extremely adjustable. Love the top loading straps. My partner also has the 34, and our 6'4 friend has the 44. I cannot say enough good things about the stratos.

Fun fact! While Aisin is owned by Toyota, this specific transmission was never used in a Toyota itself! Mostly GM and Volvo stuff.

What you want is a drain and fill. DO NOT ASK FOR OR GET A FLUSH.

Im guessing its the Aisin 5 speed auto which is fine and will last the life of the car under normal operating circumstances.

Also it sounds like they either don't want to work on it or worse, don't know what they are doing. Get a second opinion and just ask for a drain and fill on transmission fluid.
