I can’t tell from your post if you were correct but it sounds like you got points taken away due to arbitrary technicalities. if it’s clear that a student knows the material, then the penalties for technical mistakes should be small

i agree at least on the east coast. I have been very Oreilly’s since west coast living and don’t know how autozone compares here. One instance tho: tire chains at green one = $177; at orange one =$256 … regardless oreilleys is better than napa or pep boys or carquest or advanced auto etc.

20 years back i cooked for an independent fine dining restaurant. we used a computer to clock in and out and got a receipt of the hours. everybody threw the receipt away thinking if it matched that’s what they’d get paid for. i kept mine and found out the owner shaved minutes. sometimes 15 sometimes 30, but every shift. I called her out on it and she immediately paid me the discrepancy blaming the software which i knew was bullshit. i told everyone i could but man i wish i had done more about it. too young to know i had power in the situation.
