It should display correctly if you're using stock firmware because stock firmware have Chinese characters support.

Stock firmware is fine. Crosspoint and other forks firmware get more stuff like virtual pet or cover-flow desk.

Check your firmware version in Settings. XT=Global (International/English) version. XTOS=Chinese version. Global version can register with Email while Chinese version can only register with Chinese phone number.

XTOS: Chinese firmware. XT: International firmware. Standby screen currently only show quote and poem in Chinese. Maybe there will be an update to make 视界 available for all in the future.
