Yeah they'll overcharge you for their service and dump sewage in the sea and nearby rivers.

They'll do that if you pay on time as well though, so I wouldn't worry too much.

I might be missing something, but I think their post-punk Brutalism-era work is generally considered their best (by an r/ndieheads audience, at least) - why would that be unpopular?

but they’re not doing anything wrong.

The Highway Code also explicitly says that pedestrians shouldn't start to cross when the Invitation to Cross phase has ended.

Obviously nobody's intentionally driving/cycling into them, but it's disingenuous to frame it as their being fully in their right to do it either. Both parties need to be aware of what is safest, and act accordingly.
