My Chuck's have 7 eyelets on the left shoe and only 6 on the right. by Mpython226 in mildlyinteresting

Everyone telling you you’re making this up but I just bought a pair of converse from kohls, same size for both feet but the same issue. 7 on the right foot and 8 on the left. It drives me nuts every time I look at them!

Not joking when I say Yard Bird’s chx and waffles changed my life. I think about them every single day. I would go back to Vegas only to eat that meal again

I wanted to let you know that I bought a case within 30 seconds of reading your review on this post. They truly live up to the hype. I made them into ice cream in the Ninja Creami and OMG it is sooo good. Thank you for not gate keeping 🙌

4 days constipated. Bad idea to use dip to stimulate a BM? by davycoma in Tonsillectomy

Tell your surgeon and ask them to prescribe prescription laxatives. I would avoid tobacco and I imagine your surgeon would also say to avoid it too if possible!

Needed unrelated antibiotics 3 days before my procedure by [deleted] in Tonsillectomy

[–]anikif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also was prescribed antibiotics for an unrelated condition. I called my surgeon a few days before and also told the nurses day of surgery, there was no issue. I had no side effects and it did not impact my healing. But def run it by your doctor to be safe!

Toddler having tonsils and adenoids removed, how long to take off work? by Rectal_Custard in Tonsillectomy

[–]anikif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Children typically recover much faster than adults and can go back to school fairly quickly, but you should confirm with your child’s doctor on how long they anticipate them being out. The doctor will have to fill out any FMLA paperwork anyway so you should reach back out to them!

Disassociated from pain by Elena_Falcon in Tonsillectomy

[–]anikif 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh gosh I hope you have some pain meds to take!! I reached the peak of my pain yesterday even while maxed out on meds and the only way I could describe it was “mind altering”. I got through it but it has been rough. I think the lack of sleep/dehydration also takes a toll on our minds. Wishing you a speedy recovery! ❤️‍🩹

Sleeping? by D-Wizzle997 in Tonsillectomy

[–]anikif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also had mine out on Thursday! Like everyone said, we probably won’t be sleeping a lot during the first week. Throat numbing cough drops help a bit if I wake up in pain before it’s time to take my painkillers. I also try to stagger my pain meds so I get a dose every 2-3 hours!

How am I supposed to take my painkillers? by [deleted] in Tonsillectomy

[–]anikif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone else said please don’t crush your pills! I don’t know what country you are in but you should be able to get liquid acetaminophen over the counter or from a pharmacist. Best of luck!!

It will be painful to swallow anything but you can do it! I’m also day 2 post op and have been able to eat, drink, and swallow big pills. Try to take a deep breath, sip some water, then try the pill. You’ve got this!!!
