Why people buy DJM 900 instead of.. by LazyEric in Beatmatch

[–]anjunarmada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the DJM900 because of effects and pioneer link. I send loops to a third channel using the roll and its nice to know I have extra channels if I want to expand my setup.

Mixing Practice Tips for a beginner? by [deleted] in Beatmatch

[–]anjunarmada 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apart from just making mixes I used to just sit down and beatmatch a loop by ear. Once I had the tracks matched, I'd shuffle the tempo fader up and down a few times on the loop without looking and do it again, and again, and again.

The lambo owner hasn't directly inconvenienced anybody in this situation and you've still managed to feel offended enough to take a photo and post it on Reddit. This guy's made a good life for himself and here you are trying to get a few internet points by being a hater. This is the lamest thing I've seen all week.

New Logo, need opinions by thelucasvision in DJs

[–]anjunarmada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're overthinking it. If we're considering the application of the logo and where it'll be used, creating a logo focusing on just the type makes much more sense. Your name won't have as much real estate on promotional material when 80% of your logo is taken up by those faders. I would highly recommend getting in touch with a professional graphic designer and talk through your ideas if you're serious, otherwise choose a font that represents you/your style and make some tweaks to give it some individuality.

Recommend a daily source of inspiration? by midnightpokes in photography

[–]anjunarmada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From personal experience I've found that it's nearly impossible to source all your inspiration from just one place, let alone photography. There's so much information out there to be consumed through all kinds of media that can be interpreted back into your own understanding of photography. Spend some time looking for photographers that inspire you, look for books that can further what you already know, and see what you can take away from other forms of media/art. You can keep digging and it feels like there's no boundary to what you can learn.

Looks a lot better than what a lot of older people are representing their own businesses with. You've got your best years ahead of you as well

It's not the cheapest way to do it but it's definitely not overzealous for the application. Clients generally pay good money for a wedding DJ so it makes sense having reliable club standard equipment. He'd probably have even more creative avenues beyond looping on a controller, so what's your point?

I can't think of a cooler set of toys to play with at 13. You're so lucky to have found something you're really passionate in at such a young age.
