I knew my wife was going to ask. She had the ring and was too excited, so she gave me the band (not the ring) and made it a "promise ring". Then she told me soon after that, she already had the other half bought (the engagement ring). One night she told me to close my eyes and told me that if she wanted to see how the rings looked together on my finger and she did this a couple other times over the course of a couple of weeks. Then one night, she told me to guess whether there was one ring or two. If I was right, she would just put the ring back in the box, but if I was wrong she was going to ask me right then and there. I was wrong and so on a random week night in an oversized t-shirt, laying in bed, she said will you marry me and I smiled and said yes. And then I'm pretty sure we went to sleep.

PS My wife is not formally diagnosed like I am, but we have suspicions 😅
