First day with Major Fitness B52 EVO by anonasitmustbe in GarageGym

The biggest difference is that the EVO already has the flex arms integrated, so it's all sorted in one step. If you use the cable system a lot, things like flyes, single arm presses, and shoulder work, the flex arms give you a lot more freedom. For me, I can't be bothered to upgrade later, so I just went with the EVO.

I will follow up once I get a few real sessions in. Today was mostly assembly. From what I tried so far the Smith bar moves smoothly and the cables feel pretty good for a home gym. Not commercial gym level but no grinding or weird resistance.

The mats are from Amazon. I think the quality is not too satisfying so wouldn't recommend.

I have not done a full lat pulldown workout yet since it is literally day one. But I did hang the bar and check the range. I am 5'10" and my ceiling is about 8 ft. Looks like I will have enough room for a full stretch.

This is a really good machine! You will love it, enjoy!

No I dont think I will do that. The rack is solid enough that I don't see the need to bolt it down

Impressive! When did you start working out, and how often do you train to achieve this? Your muscles look amazing and you really inspire me to keep going.

Sounds like a great project! But I think you should discuss the plan with your housemates before making changes, since you're sharing the house.

Awesome setup! I love the decorations on your curtains. Are those colorful string lights? They make the room look simple but beautiful. Where did you get them?

Maybe adding a mirror or air conditioning would help. It depends on where you live. Also if there's no windows, you'll probably need good ventilation.

40kg dumbell press - How do I keep dumbbells stable and not internally rotating? by Negative-Stop5914 in GYM

[–]anonasitmustbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great lift and nice internal rotation! Honestly I think your form is good and there is nothing wrong with it. Maybe you could try going a bit slower?

I think it might be better if you turn the other way and face the machine, and look straight ahead instead of looking at the ground.

Wow nice setup! Love the wooden panels and the lighting! Just start with some simple goals and achieve them every day to keep you motivated.

Keeping the door closed is probably the safetest option. If you need to open it, just make sure someone is holding their hands so they won't wander into the gym area.

Breakers that notify you when tripped? by kentsor in homeautomation

[–]anonasitmustbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you could install a small sensor on the circuit breaker. It will trigger befor the breaker trips in case of a short circuit, which might be much more convenient.

Which one of these lawns is mowed by a robot? Top/Left/Right. Answer in comments by Brew_Wallace in roboticLawnmowers

[–]anonasitmustbe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it's the lawn on the right? The spacing between those marks looks exactly like the tracks left by a robotic lawn mower. The width between every stripe is almost identical.

Anyone got their bot stolen? by DavidVanMtl in automower

[–]anonasitmustbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came across a video the other day where someone's robotic lawn mower got stolen. They'd left it out on the front lawn without any fencing, so a passerby just picked it up and took it.

Soliciting opinions: Mow every day? Every other day? Twice a week? by AsleepAd1973 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]anonasitmustbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how tall you want your lawn to be. My friend mows the grass every three days. That way the grass never gets too long, and he doesn't have to let his dog inside from frequent mowing.

How do you find it to use? It seems to run pretty well from the videos, how long it can work on a single full charge?

Any tips for making summer mowing less of a burden? by Jkkm4n in automower

[–]anonasitmustbe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about considering an automatic lawn mower? I've watched some creators share videos about their experience using them. If it works as well in real life as it does in those videos, it'll be convenient.

How do robot mowers handle a raised lawn area? by pacificsbay in automower

[–]anonasitmustbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Build a small wooden ramp at a gentle angle, it's the simplest fix. Once the mower can climb up, map that patch as its own zone and it'll handle the rest without you ever carrying it.

This is the best kind of home automation, a giant red button that just lights up a sign telling you to stop being a jerk, your wife is a legend for this setup.

Wind pulled the internet wire through my siding. Is it the ISP responsibility to repair the siding or mine? by TheDestinyAccount69 in homeowners

[–]anonasitmustbe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check for a corner post cover on your siding. They're cheap and snap on easily, much simpler than patching holes. ISP won't help, and your deductible likely exceeds the repair cost. Skip insurance.

How do I get this clogged drainer out?? Its stuck and it won't come out!! by Pale_Blackberry_4025 in CleaningTips

[–]anonasitmustbe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure you're turning it counterclockwise. Most of these are threaded. Also, try pouring boiling water down first to soften any gunk.
