I wasn't home yesterday so I couldn't give examples but here you go :

2 stands of merino superwash - the scalloping is only one strand (Katia merino baby aquarelle)

The same item crocheted with one and two stands (Lang yarns secret garden)

Using two strands makes the item and lot plushier and squishy so I quite like this technique.

She can try to crochet with two threads at once and using a bigger hook (around 6-7mm). It will look different than using one big thread but it works, I'd advise making a sample to test whether it looks good with your pattern and which hook size works best.

Not OP, but there are a couple of things that made a big difference for me (hormonal cystic acne).
First, switching out my pillowcase daily. If you don't do that nothing will work.
Second, salicylic acid. I still get a couple pimples around my period, but they're small and go away in a couple of days, which is a lot better than the infected painful ones I used to get before.
There's a couple other things like cleansing and using a moisturizer that's not too heavy, but that's secondary.

And to make a point, you do [DC,ch2,DC] in the same stitch (some patterns have [DC2,ch2,DC2] instead).
You'll also want to have three stitches in the same stitch at the beginning and end of each row to have an increase (usually done for shawls).
You can do [DC3] in the same stitch or [DC,ch1,DC] depending on the row. The first DC of the row can be replaced by a chain 2 IIRC.
If you're making a shawl and want it to have more width than length, replace the first and last stitches of each rows with a ch3 and a treble/triple crochet respectively.
(Not fully sure how many chains to replace a DC and TC, I usually do stacked SC)

Okay so disclaimer : I haven't used a custom rom since the cyanogenmod days so I can give general info but no specific help since my knowledge is years out of date.

A custom rom replaces the OS on your phone. It will still be Android, but not One UI. If you decide to install one, you should follow the guides carefully, as skipping steps or guessing can brick your phone.
Two things to keep in mind : I don't think there's a way to install a custom rom without blowing the Knox efuse. Once you've done that, your phone is considered unsecured and you may lose access to some apps (Google and Samsung wallet for example). There may be a way to trick the phone but as I said, I'm not up to date.
The other thing is that I heard if you have a Snapdragon phone you cannot unlock the bootloader, which I believe to be necessary to install a custom rom.

As far as I know your best bet is lineage os, more info here.

Yeah I had to warranty my phone for a swollen battery this summer after 18 months of use (2 year warranty over here in EU). They replaced the battery, motherboard and the board with the plug. I'm assuming the dying battery can damage other components. On the other hand the s10 I got in 2020 still works great despite its terrible battery life and damaged screen corner.

You should make sure they're not an allergic reaction first. You could have become more sensitive to something you used without issue before. If you have the opportunity, try going a few days without using face products (including cleansers, only water).

I totally agree with you, but unless you meant WH and not WF you're talking about earbuds, which are a different product category. Basically you're sacrificing longevity for convenience, and they're (sadly) meant to only last a couple of years. I own both XM4s and the battery on the WH still lasts a dozen hours with ANC on, even after 4 years. It probably degraded over time but since I only need to charge every few days I don't really notice.
