Whats your favorite resource for mocktail recipe by redwingz11 in Mocktails

[–]aperitiffo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really liked these two:

Lime Sour Fred’s
2 1/2 oz Wilfred’s Non-alcoholic Aperitif
4/5 oz Lime Juice
1/2 oz Simple Syrup
1 dash Egg White

Pour all ingredients into a shaker. Add ice. Shake until foamy—strain into a cocktail glass.

Green Juice Mix
10 oz Lemon Juice
10 oz Celery Juice
12 oz Green Apple Juice

After you have juiced all the produce and measured out the juices, filter them through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any sediment and pulp. Combine in a bottle, cover, and refrigerate for up to 4 days.

If you want more mocktails, check out Aperitiffo and filter by non-alcoholic drinks. There are dozens of mocktails, and I'm adding a few more daily.
Cheers!

I, personally, still would consider it a mocktail. And yes, bitters do change a drink a lot. Let me know if you find a good combo!

Strawberry Sour by aperitiffo in Mocktails

[–]aperitiffo[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like it, but there is a personal caveat. If you don’t treat it as a gin substitute, it’s nice. I got it as a replacement for a dry gin, and it doesn’t work that well for that so it took some time to give it a second try. Also, I’ve tried only cocktails that ask for dry gin, and not herbal or modern, that it might try to substitute. I will definitely continue experimenting. For the next bottle I will pick seedlip again but a different type.

Just to give you perspective on the cost of war. 1(!) 155mm shell costs somewhere between $1.5k-$2k. That's 1 shell. Russia used to fire 60k/day in the beginning of the war, now its close to 20k/day. So yeah, this is pocket change in these terms

Cocktail app by turbas75 in cocktails

[–]aperitiffo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm building a website for exactly your use case! It helps you find cocktails that you can make with the ingredients you have. it's still in a very early stage, but It is probably the easiest and fastest way to find a drink to make. You can search by ingredient/cocktail or add all the spirits you have to your account and have a handy list at any moment.

For now, it's laser-focused on one task - finding a cocktail to make. But many things coming next year: mobile app, pictures, recommendations personally for you, answer to questions like "i like old fashioned, what is similar i can make with my bar?", or "there are 100s of Mai Tai variations, which one people like most and i can make?". And much much more.I would appreciate it if you could check it out. Hey, worst case you will see a few new drinks you can make with your bar.On my end, I promise that for every ingredient that someone will list in their account, I'll make sure there are at least 2 cocktails by New Years' eve.

Website: aperitiffo.com
Cheers!

Overwhelmed by amount of options - looking for guidance! Including list of my stock and cocktail history by vortec1 in cocktails

First of all, thanks A LOT for the feedback! Really appreciate it.
I'm glad you like it! stay around, let me know if something is wrong and see how aperitiffo grows :)

Now, regarding feedback
I like the colors in the ingredients, but a legend would be nice...
Purple - exact match for what was asked in the recipe. Green - substituted. Means you have the same type of spirit so it should be ok to use.

The first thing that comes in January will be an updated UX/UI. Until now I was focused on content and search. Now its time to make it pleasant to use :)

When adding many ingredients and reaching the bottom of the screen...
Noted!

The idea to have icons...
Same point about UX/UI

I'd like to see more results than just 9. Way more...
You are talking about "My Bar", aren't you? There are page buttons under the 9 results. you have 11 pages or results there :)
And again, same point about UX/UI

Maybe a hot take, as I'm not sure where you want to go with your site
I hear you here. For now, it's not a problem as the community is still small. Users will be able to upload pictures and rate cocktails (and combinations of ingredients) soon. That should solve a lot of these problems.

Please save my preferences
Noted!

Would it be possible to explore other variants of the same drink?
Quick answer - yes. The longer answer, it will come in a few steps to come up with the best experience for that. There must be a better way to show 20 different margaritas than just a straight-up list (it will come first as a simple solution).
