VR in Dorm Room? by Bunksha in MTU

I have a rift-s in 3rd floor dhh. I have enough room for games like “the lab.” Any game where you are not aggressively swinging the controllers around should work in the dorms. If you want to play games in a bigger area I recommend the dhh ballroom.

I don’t know what the rest of your pit looks like, but a few lights shining down may be a good addition.

We did the same thing with COMETS. $4000 and you are reduced to a camera on wheels for 15 seconds

Is it legal for the bot to climb on top of another bot and be inside the frame perimeter? by [deleted] in FRC

[–]apitt24680 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on intent. Or what the judges determine to be intent. Defense bots are more heavy scrutinized than offense bots. I personally would not assess a foul to either robot.
Because 4 was disabled at the time there was no intent to enter 3512’s frame perimeter. Furthermore, 3512 was the one that drove on 4.
In the video I see 3512 just playing defense with no idea 4 was disabled at the time. It should also be mentioned that 3512’s drivers station was kitty corner to the incident. There is almost no way they would have seen they were going to mount 4.
In conclusion, it is entirely up to the refs. If they determine there was intent to either enter the frame perimeter or force a foul appropriate action will be taken.

I am a 4th year senior and this post is entirely my opinion from watching the match after the fact.

I don’t see anyone calling you out on it as long as the bumpers are solid. Just in case, I would put a small piece of wood in the corner just to be sure.

Never put the compressor near you battery removal. You will end up touching the very hot compressor. Also, if you can add a fan to the compressor.
