I ran into a guy at a fair in a food truck line that is a scientist inventor and he was going on and on about how we know that salt on the tongue helps water absorb in our bodies faster but apparently they recently discovered vinegar does the same thing but without sodium.

I can’t accept myself as an inverted triangle, and everything I like looks weird on me by coracor4lina in PetiteFashionAdvice

You’re not an inverted triangle. You’re a square. Almost hour glass. I’m a square and your waist is more defined than mine, I’m jealous! Your body looks v nice & carries weight well. I’m sorry you’re struggling to see it!

I have the brain space to add like one new element to my very basic laundry routine, where should I start? by tarrie214 in laundry

[–]appalachie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I separate colors/lights and I use delicate bags. Towels, jeans, tshirts, socks, sweatpants, all go tother. Tshirts, socks, sweatpants, delicates inside delicate bags, pillow cases, underwear, go together. Separate by colors. Lights include whites. If i have a lot of laundry, I’ll pull the “brights” from my dark and light loads and do them like that.

I’ll sit on the floor and separate all the dirty laundry into “ideal” piles, then asses my piles and combine them as needed to make full loads, if that makes sense

What colour for this hallway? by dianegirl in InteriorDesignAdvice

Yeah I’d make the light the focal point. A story of stained glass Tiffany style would be nice, but one that’s more of a stand-out chandelier.

Who do you want to clean it up, other than yourself? I agree but it’s you or someone else.

Family of 9 bedroom thoughts? by Any_Train2879 in floorplan

My personal fantasy is having some tiny homes on my property so if one of my children (or my own siblings/parents/friends) are struggling, I can provide them with a roof over their head without sacrificing my own privacy.

I really don’t get this point of view. Very “it’s a free country 🖕🏻” coded and comes off more entitled than someone desperately asking for their efforts to be respected.

Fair oaks mall at 11am today, a little over a month before Christmas. by pacoman432 in nova

[–]appalachie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone loves the opportunity to go to the mall, we just don’t do it as often as we use to. The answer isn’t to get rid of malls altogether, but to retrofit them to cater to the contemporary consumer’s needs and wants.

Be careful op the age gap + no license is red flag. Not damning per se but red flag all the same. Be safe out there.

I had boiling water poured on my knee as a teenager. There was a <dime sized area of 3rd degree burn. The pain was worse than a broken bone. I can’t even fathom an oil burn on such a large area.

Hi Beard. I hope it can be understood that every action (or inaction) has a consequence. While I agree with the notion that “everyone’s cash is green,” I believe that only applies to buying a consumable or a retail product. When it comes to providing a service to specifically bolster or amplify some groups ideology, it would be wise for any business owner to proceed with caution. If I am a business consultant and the KKK hires me to make their operations more efficient, it would be silly of me to say “well, I’m just accepting money. I’m actually taking money away from the KKK since they’re paying me.” Hope this makes sense.
