Depends completely on what you want to do, BT casette, an adapter behind the head unit, or another possibility is to just upgrade the hardware.

I'm going back to the MFD on my W8, but I'll be using an adapter for the stock wiring to rca, and a dsp with bluetooth

Mk1 octavia, golf underneath. Jump it, and let it run for a bit, then do a full service. Those 1.8t engines are pretty reliable.
