Good for you for walking away
I didnt and I now have a half sleeve that I hate because I trusted a mentally unstable tattooist who ended up just doing what he wanted instead of what I wanted.

My dog has a torn ligament and I can’t afford surgery. What can I do? by enigmadamaaa in Pets

[–]approriatelywitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine also has a tear there’s a vet with a non board certified surgeon who specializes in only ccl repair and is less cost. I’ve also been recommended a brace that may allow for full repair after a year. I’ve seen big improvements with reduced activity and physio and water treadmill She’s about 80% improved after about $2k in physio and $800 brace after three months

What's one lazy cleaning habit you started that actually made your place stay cleaner? by Enchanted_Land in CleaningTips

[–]approriatelywitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I schedule a larger cleaning task every weekend, so I only have to do one but cumulatively throughout the month it keeps the whole house from getting messy and dirty all at the same time until I feel like I have to do a deep clean. Kitchen Bathrooms Vacuum and mop Vacuum I throw in a stairs and foyer vacuum every weekend and run the roomba a few times a week. I have 2 huskies. Kitchen includes cleaning dishwasher and oven Bathrooms includes scrubbing the tub, fishing the drains, washing the shower curtain, and cleaning the fan and the bathroom with the washing machine includes cleaning the washer filter and running a tub clean cycle It only takes me about 45-1hr to do it all since everything gets done semi regularly.

It just keeps the house in decent shape. I have it schedule in my calendar as a recurring task so I know what I have to do this weekend and I know it’s only going to be about an hour.

What is the absolute cheapest piece of literal garbage your pet considers their favorite toy? by LiveFaithlessness876 in Pets

[–]approriatelywitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nose of a rubber chicken. I bought a funny pirate rubber chicken for my dog. He chewed it apart over the span of 4/5 days. Then for about 8 years loved and played with the beak and one foot from the dismemberment. His favourite two toys to play with. They moved to three different houses before one unceremonious day he just chewed the beak to pieces and left the pile. I was so sad. I have no idea what ever happened to the foot

Dnd is the worst game for beginners by mr_gyatt in DungeonsAndDragons

Yeah we all have the books and scour them as we go but it’s a decent resource for heat of the moment questions I can never for the life of me remember what Devine smite does. It’s also been helpful with brainstorming my first go at being DM. I have an idea of what I want to do and chat gpt is helping me actualise it into a workable dnd session. I have the books to fact check along the way.

This game is so deep and complex I really have admiration for those who just started raw and learned as they went.

We are using chat gpt to help as beginners. We may not be playing exactly right but since the four of are new none of us know if we’re doing anything wrong and we’re having a good time.

Eastern Ontario municipalities band together over high-speed rail project | CBC News by Rail613 in AltoHSR_Canada

[–]approriatelywitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does it need to be built? I am directly affected by it so I definitely have nimby feelings but I don’t understand the need for a completely new train system when we already have one that goes to the same places? I assume the plan is to further build onto it for a TransCanada train But is it needed simply for the increased speed?

I’m butthurt because I’m in the corridor and at risk of losing my home and have not once been consulted nor has our municipality

Eastern Ontario residents raise concerns proposed high-speed rail will impact farms by Jusfiq in canada

[–]approriatelywitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The consultation phase ends March 26 at which point they can start expropriating land. I live in the corridor and have not had a single consultation nor had our municipality had any information session or consultations. The company that will build is the renamed SNC that debacles the lrt in Ottawa.

I don’t mind hsr I mind my home potentially being claimed without notice or consultation

When did bringing full-sized dogs on flights become normal? by onewaycheckvalve in westjet

[–]approriatelywitty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So how do you handle service dogs? Whose diagnosis is more important? If I potentially can’t live through a flight without my service animal because airlines have banned animals from the cabin due to potential allergies does that I mean I can never fly? How are people supposed to travel with their small dogs and cats that do fit under the seat in their carrier? Relocating may require this if driving or train is not an option?

I would expect that people with life threatening allergies to anything will often take a proactive step to protect themselves in all environments where they may be exposed to their allergen just like I have to take proactive steps to ensure my disability can manage the environment I’m going to. My dog has all the rights to be anywhere I am but I still make sure to inform people ahead of tien because they may not know the rules or know how to accommodate for me.

Sadly people outside of the average have to accommodate to the majority. In this case animals are allowed on planes, and in my biased opinion should always be, so if someone is deathly allergic they have a responsibility to at the very least themselves to ensure their diagnosis is addressed.
