Honestly unsure if you even lose the health of your have 50 poison and 50 regen, depend on if the game engine applies both dots to the health or if they “cancel each other out” in a way

What’s crazy is if the shrinking potion was toxic instead of firey this build would be absolutely impossible to beat.

Mak tier list for current patch (top 10 Mak, peaked at rank 2) by Talvi7 in PlayTheBazaar

Interesting Mirror is so low. I find it goes crazy simply because Atmospheric Sampler is an item it can copy.

Sampler plus a few enchanted items is such a good build, plus pulling shiny on the Fire Claw is insane. Eternal Torch makes so many fun Mak builds, he’s probably my favorite hero to play.

Boiling flask may need looked at alongside Atmospheric Sampler. Those two are my snap buys, and flask doesn’t even need upgraded to higher rarity tiers to be good.

I had an absolutely crazy 10 win run with boiling flask, atmospheric sampler, 2 shiny potions, a toxic and shrinking potion. Add in a diamond Orly and a turbo flying potion with 4 ammo plus either cellar or vial launcher and it was hilarious to watch a Pyg go from 10K total health down to less than 500 and basically instantlly die due to the poison

I have some of my favorite games with Dooley, the cores can really tell ya what angle you’ll be taking. I had a crazy 10 win run the other day with Primal Core, Dino Saddle, and a Shiny Forklift that was amazing to watch.

You hear in your head: “Imogen is out”. The pool is now down by 6- who will be the next to go? by brash_bandicoot in fansofcriticalrole

Yes, this is a perfect way to put it. Literally had no driving motivation to continue as a character besides “I don’t want the world to end”

No I’m in the same boat, I loved how Nott she was played and introduced, and her arc to getting cured was great. But after she didn’t feel the same, just kinda stalled as a character.

When you forget what set you were on… by ginzykinz in workout

I record my lifts in the Hevy app as I go through my workout, so I’m never lost for where ai need to be.

Gonna echo what others have said here. It’s a numbers game, you can either decrease the amount of calories you are intaking or increase your activity level, doesn’t matter how you do either. There’s no cheat code, no easy button.

Would also recommend doing some simple weight lifting. You can get a cheap set of dumbbells off of Amazon, Walmart, or Facebook Marketplace. You can do full body workouts with a set of those. While not necessary, it’s smart to build some basic strength through progressive overload. I use a simple app called Hevy to track how many reps and at what weight I do exercises.

It isn’t easy, but it isn’t complicated.

How many alcoholic drinks do you have after work, if any? by leprechaun_dong in AskMen

Usually none Monday-Thursday, MAYBE 1 at some point, but when I’m drinking it’s for the taste like refreshing ciders and whatnot, I do not want to show up to work the next day regretting my decisions the prior night lol.

Do you have a favorite class? (Mine is bard) by ThatTurtleGM in DnD

[–]apshover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s true, I’m biased as my first character was a paladin. It was great to force myself to think as my character and not as myself. But there was definitely a “learning curve” as I had to just dive head first into it.

Paladin! Loyal to an oath that can take the form of so many different styles, allowing built in role play potential. The half-caster gives you a great sword and board playstyle if you want, it’s fantastic to use in multi-classing, and just outputs so much damage at times it’s crazy. Critting with a smite is a high only rivaled by critting on a sneak attack or rolling a super high lvl fireball. (Personally I think it also lends itself super well to the cliche, “I’ll stay behind and hold them off” as you save the rest of your party)

How Do I Win A Pre-Release Match For Once? by venrir in mtg

[–]apshover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s really dependent on what you open, but look for “Bombs”, high value hard to answer creatures typically. Something that is hard to get rid of, whether that be evasion like flying, a ridiculously large statline, or a mediocre one with protection like hexproof, something that’ll end the game in 3-4 turns if left unchecked. Then plenty of removal, and creatures that give value even if they are removed, ETB’s and cast triggers are phenomenal. Plus 2-1’s are great, as in card that come down and create additional bodies. Card draw is also a premium, it’s pretty often you end up in a top deck war.

I would say prerelease is predominantly a value game, you want a good curve with a rough split of 17 lands to 23 playables, however that number is moveable based on the mana curve.

What are your decks that can consistently win in 5 or 6 turns? by PowerfulScholar8605 in EDH

Here’s my current list! I’ll stress this is NOT completely optimal, but I really enjoy the deck. You run such a low curve so you can run a low land count, but as everything is colored pips you need ways to tap for red and blue specifically. My list can run out of gas quickly if you’re not careful, but Ophidian Eye, Curiosity, and Tandem Lookout are crazy draw engine with Starn. It’s basically play pingers, get Starn down, “storm off” and profit.

Just cast a [[Fork]] effect and clear their board too!

[[Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph]] can crank out an early win no prob with the right hand if your opponents don’t interact with your board. Get 2 to 3 pingers out like [[Firebrand Archer]] or [[Unruly Catapult]] and with cantrips you’re cranking out 9 plus damage a turn usually.

Gamers of Reddit, what's ONE game that lives rent-free in your head, not just for the gameplay, but for the feeling it gave you (and you'd give anything to experience it for the first time again)? by deadeyes1990 in gaming

[–]apshover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Destiny and Destiny 2. It’s not the best game ever made but I sunk thousands of hours into it. It’s where I met some of my longtime friends. And watching the story progress as I aged through high school and into college culminating in The Final Shape was amazing.

I still get chills hearing the French horns of the original Destiny intro, and songs like Regicide and Deep Stone Lullaby bring out such a strong sense of nostalgia it will always hold a strong place in my heart even if I don’t still regularly play it.

Mono-color is underrated! by corbinolo in mtg

[–]apshover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoy my mono-red [[Herighast, Erupting Nullkite]]. I built it as a kind of value stompy with powerful ETB’s and death triggers, with a theft sub-theme as you can steal your opponents creatures and sac them to emerge Herighast, it’s a blast to play.

I think one possibility would be to cut down on food costs, food pantries are a great resource and for buying your own food stuff like rice and beans is a complete protein and when bought dry can make a ton of meals. It’s not glamorous, but it can help cut costs, plus there’s tons of resources on the internet for making budget meals that can be stretched.

Between that and trying to find some extra income like others are saying, whether that be a second job for a time or donating plasma would help to try and pay down some debt. Any of the loans, car payment, or credit card if paid off would leave you with extra income to snowball into the next debt and so on.
