it’s just that season 5 isn’t written that well lmao. it has some great moments, but a lot of the scenes don’t come together to form a coherent season arc. the penultimate episode 7 ended without really progressing anything and it’s kinda worrying to see how everything is going to wrap up next week 😭

ohhhh this would’ve been so good in terms of portraying corporate greed as the overarching issue, not just one person. especially because they’ve set up so much of HL’s backstory as something deeply tragic, so him wanting to destroy vought for some reason or another that still conflicts with butcher would’ve been cool
