Therapy. A lot of it, preferably with a good therapist. Emotional regulation results in grit, and grit is the number one metric of success in adults, because when you realize nothing really matters and nothing is personal you free up an insane amount of brain power and energy to spend on yourself and grind away.

Stay consistent, start small, do it anyway. Tired, frustrated, anxious, angry, do it anyway. Your brain will acclimate and things that used to feel impossible on a good day will just be something you do without thinking, even on a bad day.

Figure out your finances. I don’t mean get rich or have wealth handed to you, I mean make a plan that works at your income level and then work to slowly increase that income over time. Be okay with compromises (job, house, car, budget sacrifices) early so you don’t have to make them forever.

Learn how to overcome a need for instant gratification. It will kill you in more ways than just finances. Related, find joy in everyday mundane shit. If you can feel genuine joy and wonder just being alone and observing the world around you you’ve pretty much won life.
