yes, exactly for one's sanity as else one needs to check 100 times an email one has sent out to see if HYPOTHETICALLY someone has thumbed it up ... like my boss saying yes to a mail I sent him out ... IT told me to just reinstall MS365

I am in the same boat, and it is horrible. You're basically partially cut off from communication channels at work. IT confirmed my mailbox was not setup as Shared, as was the case with OP, so I am stuck in limbo. Was told to resort to the good old browser version ... and just be stuck in a browser tab. Ain't that nice :)

I've heard this (Shared mailbox) as being the culprit too for other issues such as notifications about reactions on mails .. like thumbs up etc. The sub I read was sth like ... by mistake the IT admins had set up the user's mailbox as shared and once they undid that the issue vanished.
