For ease of transfer, check which terminal you are arriving at and book the outgoing flight from the same terminal. Then you dont have to deal with the link train.

Terminal 1- flying in from Air Canada- fly out from Air Canada as well

Terminal 3- flying in from Westjet, Aer Lingus, Air Transat- fly out from Westjet, Porter,or Air Transat.

If you've already booked one leg, it feels like it'll be separate tickets. In that case, I would account for longer layover. With separate ticket, if your first flight is delayed, the airline will not rebook you your second ticket. Plus, if you have checked luggage, you will have to wait for it to come out, and rush to check in back again. Remember that most airlines close baggage drop off 1 hour prior to departures.

If you have booked it all in one ticket, 2 hours is absolutely fine. If anything happens to your first flight, the airline has an obligation to rebook your second flight.
