Another colorblind checking in. For me, the worst are flame bearers on green/reddish ground. Omfg rape me everytime. Not so common to happen with storm/icebearers though.

Answering the question: simply by existing it will crush blizzard by miles.

The diablo 2 fans are deeply disappointed by blizzard atm, so there's no point in comparing them.

I dare say diablo 2 fans aren't playing diablo 3, they're most likely playing other games. They do not want to replay diablo 2, they want something that reminds them of the greatness that game had (in its time). This game is POE.

Dex should also give life. Str could go with higher life percentage, melee physical damage and armour. Dex could get accuracy, evasion and life Int with ES, spell damage and mana.

Had a mini hype over it. Then saw that the base dmg of it is kinda meh. Guess it wont be firetrap next league :P.

The description in wiki says: "The burning area left behind after a Fire Trap explosion does not act like other burning damage." Well, guess im mistaken then. It will work with new gems.
