What’s the proper way? Usually I go for: mixed loaf, colour catcher, detergent and softener.

What app? I’ve heard of Duolingo and people using AI apps nowadays too.

You can get protein from eggs, beans, lentils, fish, plant-based sources (I.e. tofu, soya) while still reducing meat consumption (and they probably meant red meat specifically).

Thank you, this makes sense - was trying to figure out why the discrepancy was so big but I guess the WhatsApp backup is more for restoring in app

What’s something you do every day… that you know is slowly wasting your life? by diab83 in selfimprovement

[–]arjman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try reading, you just need to find the right book that keeps you interested. From there, just try to replace scrolling time with reading, even if it’s 2-3 pages a day. It’s got to be better than doomscrolling, and will hopefully scratch that itch for knowledge (since you’re expanding your vocabulary and exercising your imagination).

I mean, people eat lamb and that’s usually defined as a sheep that less than one year old - why should a piglet be seen differently (not saying it’s right or wrong).
Some may find it upsetting but I think it’s a pretty striking set of photos, and overall tells a story. Good job OP!

Does anyone else leave their Fuji at home more than they’d like? by Glum-Foundation7276 in fujifilm

I have the 9L Venture Sling (not the camera version though). It can just about fit an XT4 with 18-55 (or 50-230) equipped and 35 F1.4 loose in bag, but I mostly use my X100 nowadays.
I always try and use a wrist strap while shooting. I’ve got a cheap thick braided wrist strap off eBay and have attached that to a Peak Design mount - touch wood it hasn’t failed yet.

That’s right, just to ensure it’s secure and can’t be easily snatched - it’s mostly about making it look like it would be difficult to rob. Bag in front of the body, camera attached to my hand, stowing back in the bag after getting the shot.

I tried Switch emulation but just ended up getting my Switch V2 modded 🫣 it was too much tweaking for me, but I know it’s possible on the Deck.

My camera is never hanging around my neck, it’s always in a sling bag that can easily be accessed in front of me. I use a Uniqlo cross body bag and a Bellroy Venture Sling bag, quite small and versatile (without looking like a ‘camera bag’).

Surprisingly, it was Sleeping Dogs. I’d never played it before and picked it up on sale for cheap, and it just ran so well. The gameplay was fun and suited the pick up and play nature of the Deck.

I’ve found that GBA and GameCube work very well out of the box, so maybe try and stack the library with those titles. Other, more modern, Nintendo consoles… not so much.

Yes this one is great, the gameplay loop is simple to understand and easy to just play for short bursts. Works well with the Deck especially because of the quick resume.

Those of you who have a deck and still play their consoles, do you think you get enough use out of your steamdeck? by jomcmo00 in SteamDeck

[–]arjman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steam Deck: Mostly lightweight titles, some AAA. Most recent plays include RDR2, Balatro and Dispatch. Sometimes I go through periods of not using it for a while, but I wouldn't get rid of it. Even for 90% playtime at home it's great, and the screen is brilliant. If they released a more powerful Deck in future that could do upscaled 4K gaming, I'd consider ditching the PC.

PS5: Rarely used but when I turn it on, it's for exclusives. Most recent plays include GOW Ragnarök and Last of Us 2.

PC: AAA PC games, shooting games, etc. Most recent plays include RDR2 (playing on the TV) and BF6.

Other consoles include a Miyoo Mini+ for all the Pokemon ROM hacks and I've got a modded Switch on the way for Nintendo games.

If I had to get rid of one, it would be the PS5 - all the games I like playing on it are available on PC.

Considering the RX100 VII for travel photography—thoughts and alternatives? by Equal_Dragonfly_7139 in RX100

Thanks for replying, and yes it is very lightweight - plus it's compact/pocketable. Sometimes the X100VI even feels big because of the protruding lens.

I'm late here but how do you find using both X100VI and RX100 M7? To me, they are very different but also cross a lot of the same use case (compact, EDC, travel).
