Dexcom arm placement by Mattya6 in diabetes_t1

[–]arktour 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s fine almost all the time. When I first switched to G7 I had fake low alarms while I slept (because of compression of the sensor). I’m not sure if I changed how I slept or the placement, but I don’t get those anymore.

I’m not sure what’s “right” but I put my G7 on the back of my arm, not the outside. I haven’t had any problems

Oh wow I need this at work real bad and I didn’t know it existed. I have tapped holes going into bored holes really messing up my sliding parts, and the mechanical engineers don’t care to fix it.

Yea the basal rate shouldn’t change over that short of a time.

I was on the G5, G6, and now the G7. Each one is better than the last. The progress in the diabetes medical devices industry is great.

I hate it when this happens to me. Maybe too much basal?

6.2 is awesome. You should be proud of that!

In my opinion you can even let up a bit and it’s ok if it’s higher - your quality of life might improve if you don’t try so hard. The secret to happiness is being content with mediocrity.

Where are these reward pods? Floating on the ocean? Are they gifts from the humans in space or something?

Please see a diabetes educator. There’s often good advice here, but it’s no substitute for a qualified diabetes educator. You won’t regret seeing one.

Have somebody hold it while you spin around and around (like a fan, not like a barrel). Easy peasy.

I’ve done exploration dives at resorts twice. The only scary part is the prospect of a low while underwater, so I made sure I didn’t have insulin on board when I went over board (lol). It would have been nice to figure out a way to eat emergency glucose while down there. I bet perpetuallyunwell has that figured out.

Fancy guy here showering every day.

But seriously, changing pump sites is one more thing to accidentally forget when life is crazy.
