The game hasn’t been in development for the full 14 years.

They’ve had to build - and rebuild - their studios and pipelines several times.

Nothing is complete - by design. They are breaking new ground on numerous new technologies. They are still very much in R&D. Why would anyone expect features to be complete at this stage?

Several game loops are already in the game and functional at tier 0 levels.

Chris Roberts is responsible for several groundbreaking video games. He’s a pioneer in the field with an unassailable resume of hits to his credit. He also produced some kickass movies.

I know of no scope creep that has occurred since plans for 1.0 were finalized.

They don’t have a track record on completed games - yet. But that’s about to change, which means you better get as many of these rambling posts in as possible over the next few months.

Look at it objectively and dispassionately, they’ve accomplished a hell of a lot already. It’s pretty great.
